Please note: Gravel bar access and rentals such as floating equipment and golf carts are optional amenities offered separately and are not included in the nightly cabin rate. ________________________________________ 🥩 Farm-to-Table Dining from Our Family Farm Guests have the option to order farm-raised meats from our family-owned 4J Cattle Farm, including Wagyu and Angus beef and pasture-raised chicken, delivered directly to the cabin. Many guests enjoy grilling steaks or preparing farm-fresh meals during their stay. Guest access Entire Home Other things to note This home is part of the 4J Vacation Rentals portfolio, a collection of private retreats located throughout our century family farm and the surrounding countryside. Spanning over 300 acres in the beautiful Meramec River Valley, our properties offer a truly unique outdoor experience rooted in history, nature, and open space. The farm includes over 1.5 miles of private Meramec River frontage, with designated access areas available to guests. Most homes in our portfolio are either perched on ridges overlooking the river or located within a short drive of our private river access points. Guests enjoy access to two separate private river areas included with their stay, along with one additional river area that is available as an optional add-on: 🏞️ Riverside Pavilion – Located at Murphy’s Place, this scenic access point is shared by Sassafras Cabin, Dogwood Cabin, Murphy’s Retreat, and Copperstone Cabin. It features a beautiful riverside pavilion with shaded seating, making it a great place to relax before or after time on the river (see photos in the listing). 🏊 Bluffside River Take-Out – Located in the river bottom below Murphy’s Place, this area serves as the designated floating take-out location. It sits across from a large bluff where swimmers often stop to cool off and enjoy the scenery. 🏖️ 4J Gravel Bar (Optional) – The optional river area is our private gravel bar river property, consisting of 13 acres with approximately ½ mile of Meramec River frontage. This wide, open gravel bar is ideal for relaxing, swimming, kids playing, setting up lawn chairs or pop-up canopies, and enjoying short tubing loops throughout the day. Access to the 4J Gravel Bar is available for a per person fee and is not included with the nightly cabin rate. Floating services are available to guests through 4J Vacation Rentals, including tubes, canoes, kayaks, and rafts, along with transportation. Floating rentals and services are optional and arranged separately.
