6 miles from the historic town of Buffalo, this authentic log home awaits you. Seated at the crossroads of Devil’s Tower Monument, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, this home is the perfect jump off point for day trips, or a rest before continuing onward to more adventures. 5 minutes from Bud Love Wildlife Management Area that hosts over 7900 trailed acres with fish and plentiful wildlife. 15 minutes up to the Bighorns for a hike, or to Lake DeSmet for an afternoon swim. Situated on a knoll facing the beautiful Bighorns, you will be able to spy Cougar, South Sayles, and North Sayles Canyons. Wonderfully appointed with luxury bedding and linens, sleep will come easily. The gorgeous great room is centered around a spectacular view and comfort. Every window in this beautiful home offers an opportunity view a stunning vista. Owner lives on site and will give you full privacy and space unless approached or contacted first. I am readily available to interact and suggest local attractions and give directions. I love meeting new people! I manage a small quietly run dog boarding kennel on the property. If you are missing your fur babies, I welcome you to enjoy watching our campers play in the fields from your private front and back porches. I do ask that you do not try to pet our furry campers or linger by the fence lines where the dogs are playing. Enjoy the small town history at the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum. Venture downtown to the historic Occidental Hotel and saloon. Enjoy fresh elk, bison, scallops and shrimp at the Virginian. Live blue grass jam sessions every Thursday night. Enjoy a stroll along Clear Creek as this quant stream literally runs through the middle of town. This cabin offers 360 degrees view and dramatic vaulted ceilings, full kitchen and dining, three bedrooms with additional loft, wood stove and two bathrooms. Begin the day with long morning sunrises and retire with the splendor of the Bighorn National Forest range from the front porch. Lose yourself in Buffalo, Wyoming. Large driveway with plenty of parking. If you have ever dreamed of clear, western, star filled skies, than this is a must stay. The intense sunrises will amaze you with beautiful shades of pinks, oranges, yellows and blues. The huge, open skies are a continual reminder of the ageless beauty of Wyoming. While, at the same time, the stunning sunsets will transport you to another world. You will be able to view wildlife from the front porch while enjoying your morning coffee.
