Description

HIGHLIGHTS: 🪵 Modern log cabin with high-end design 🌄 Expansive front deck with panoramic views 📍 Just 10 min from Zion National Park east entrance The Zion Cabin is a contemporary take on a classic "cabin in the woods" experience nestled among the pines in a gated community minutes from the park. My name is Patrick, and my mom, partner, and a few of our loved ones along the way renovated this cabin from the ground up, transforming it from a traditional log cabin to a unique modern retreat. The space CABIN DETAILS: ✔ 3 bedrooms / 2.5 bathrooms / max guests: 10* ✔ Modern décor and furniture ✔ Fully-stocked kitchen ✔ Expansive wrap-around deck with generous seating & outdoor dining area ✔ Set on a private hilltop overlooking the street-level homes below it ✔ 5-10 minute drive to Observation Point Trailhead ✔ 10 minute drive to Zion National Park East Entrance (or, you can walk right into the park via trails at the edge of our subdivision!) *The Zion Cabin comfortably sleeps 8 guests in beds (2 king beds, 2 queen beds) but we're happy to accommodate larger groups up to 10 guests (the 2 additional guests are welcome to use the large sectional sofa on the 1st level or other options such as air mattresses at their discretion). OUR STORY: The Zion Cabin was a true labor of love, with a lot of blood, sweat, and yes, many tears along the way helping to turn this traditional log cabin into an elevated, contemporary space steps away from the eastern border of Zion National Park. My Mom and I fell in love with Zion after our first visit nearly a decade ago, and when the opportunity to call this place our own came up, we couldn't pass on it. When we first stumbled upon this little enclave of mountain homes in East Zion, we fell in love. And this property, in particular, was perfect—the architecture, its hilltop location overlooking the high desert to the south, its proximity to the east entrance of the park—it checked so many boxes. And the cabin itself? It was "fine." But it wasn't amazing. It was a little dated, and it felt like so many of other cabins we've seen throughout our visits to national parks over the years. We wanted to change it up and make it our own—a balance of old and new, vintage and restored. So we got to work. I'll admit that we got in a little over our heads, and a project we estimated would take 4-5 months took over 18 to complete. And what a JOURNEY is was. But we're thrilled with how it all turned out and hope the sense of pride we have in this cabin will be evident to our guests as soon as they walk through the door. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the entire cabin, with the exception of the garage and a couple owner's closets where we store supplies. Other things to note The cabin is located in Zion Ridge, a private gated subdivision boarding Zion National Park to the East (you could technically walk right into the park from our subdivision). AirBnb has the location listed as Orderville, which is a little misleading if you aren't familiar with the area since the town of Orderville is actually a 20-25 minute drive further east from Zion. If you want to get a more accurate sense of our location, I'd recommend searching "S Zion Ridge Dr" in Maps. Note: depending on which of the two Maps apps you're using, it'll list the street address as either Orderville, UT or Glendale, UT... both are the same thing and I'm honestly not sure why it does this.
