Situated just a couple of miles south of Alnwick in Hampeth, Dexter Cottage is in a terrace of former miners’ cottages, originally built for the workers at Whittle Colliery. Boasting a really tranquil space that we ourselves have loved spending time in, it really is a genuine home from home. With its location adjacent to the A1, the major road route through Northumberland, Dexter Cottage makes an ideal base for exploring both coast and country, and everything in between. The space The cottage is single storey (there are 2/3 steps up to the entrances, both front and rear), with two bedrooms sleeping up to four adults. All of the rooms are accessed from the main hallway, with the exception of the kitchen, which is off the dining room towards the rear of the property. Living room - log burner, 43" 4k television with Freeview and access to Netflix (own account required), PS3 games console with a selection of games and dvds. Kitchen - fully equipped with fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, slimline dishwasher, washing machine. Bedroom 1 - king size bed, work station, wardrobe & drawer storage. Bedroom 2 - two single beds, wardrobe & drawer storage Additional information - Broadband internet with wifi throughout - Garden, both front and back - Private parking for two cars at the rear of the property - The cottage is named after our own black Labrador, so naturally we welcome well behaved dogs (maximum of 2); there's even a convenient toilet area for them adjacent to the car parking spaces at the rear of the property.
