Stunning McKenzie River Home

Beautiful space in owner occupied home up the McKenzie River. Located just 8.5 miles up river from the town of Springfield. We do not believe in “added fees.” The McKenzie River is glacier fed and just a short walk from the house. The boat launch is .5 miles away. There are so many things to do; float and relax, salmon and trout fishing, boating, or just having a picnic on the beautiful shore. The University of Oregon (Ducks) is just a 16 mile drive back into town. This truly is "Almost Heaven." The space Our home sits on top of a hill across the road from the McKenzie River. We have 5.5 acres of beautiful trails for morning hikes and can lead you down to the river. Our mission is to provide our guests with a place to wind down after the days outings. Our rare breeds of chickens provide fresh eggs daily. We do have roosters! We provide breakfast each morning. Upon request and availability we can plan access to a paddle-board, coolers, picnic basket, small bbq to help you enjoy your daily plans. We have towels for outdoor use, and much more. BEING THAT THIS IS OUR HOME, WE ARE NOT THE APPROPRIATE PLACE FOR GUESTS TO COME HANG OUT 24/7. Our home is best suited for folks who would like to enjoy breakfast before the days plans, and come back to a hot shower, food, and relaxing sit by the fire followed by a comfy space to lay your head. We also provide all toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, disposable razors, lotion, blow dryer, curling iron, flat iron, hair products, etc.. We love this property and hope that our guests will too. We are respectful of our Friends of Bill for all who ask. PLEASE message us for preferences. We support everyone’s journey. Due to the fact that we have pets (dogs and cats) we prefer to have children over the age of 10. Please reach out for information. ***as stated, we do not charge “cleaning fees & security deposits.” If however, you are planning an event you will have additional fees. Guest access Guests are welcomed to use the kitchen and common areas. We want the experience to be welcoming and comfortable for everyone. On request, we do have an extra bedroom that MAY be available next to the bedroom listed. There is a full-sized bed if needed. Please contact us if you would like to have access to both. There will be an additional charge of $20 to add the extra bedroom. During your stay We will be home some of the time. We are quiet and active people and enjoy meeting and spending time with others. Other things to note We believe it is our responsibility to keep charges to a minimum. For single family stays, we have a flat rate. We do not understand “cleaning fees” and “security deposits.” When you stay with us as a single family booking the nightly fee is the price. We ask for deposits for wedding and large parties only. When driving in toward the house, you may use either direction of the driveway. It is circular. We find it is easiest to stay to the right when coming in.
