Welcome to the Manoir de Saint Bazile, a timeless countryside retreat built just before the French Revolution. Nestled in the heart of a vineyard estate undergoing a gentle revival, our guesthouse is set in a beautifully restored stone barn. Here, life flows peacefully: strolls through the vines, tasting our artisanal apple juice, naps beneath the walnut tree, and starry, quiet evenings. The calm is absolute, the setting is authentic, and every stone has a story to tell. The space Our guesthouse is located in a former stone barn with thick walls that keep it naturally cool in summer. Lovingly restored, it combines rustic charm and modern comfort. It features a spacious, bright living room, two cozy bedrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen opening onto a south-facing terrace with an open view over the vineyards — and not a neighbor in sight. At dusk, deer often wander through the nearby field. You’re also welcome to enjoy the manor’s courtyard, relax under our centuries-old cedar tree, or admire the sunset over the Maumont valley from the orchard. Guest access You’ll have access to a private garden facing the vineyards, offering total peace and privacy. A second, more formal garden lies between the guesthouse and the manor, next to the shared parking area. Each space is designed to ensure your independence and comfort. Other things to note The gîte is just 5 minutes from Collonges-la-Rouge, one of the most beautiful villages in France. We're also close by Sarlat, Lascaux or Rocamadour. We make our own craft apple juice on-site — feel free to enjoy a bottle during your stay. The estate is alive with the rhythm of nature: you might spot our little tractor or baskets of apples depending on the season (from septembre to october). This is an ideal place for those who love nature, heritage, and deep, uninterrupted calm.
