Trailside Cottage is directly on the south end of the Virginia Creeper Trail and Laurel Creek. Walk out the door for a bike ride or walk on the trail or a dip in the river. This 3-bedroom, 2 bathroom vacation rental offers a fully equipped kitchen, den with futon, cozy living room, porch that views the river and a relaxing fire pit. River access so bring your water tubes, kayaks and fishing poles. Come and enjoy all Damascus and Abingdon has to offer. The space This lovely rental can accommodate up to 7 guests. Completely furnished and beautifully decorated. Full kitchen, dishwasher, central heat/air. One bedroom has full bed and twin bed, one bedroom has a bunk bed (full & twin) and the master bedroom has a queen size bed. Have a den area with a futon that can be used to sleep. There are 2 full bathrooms one has a shower only. Beautiful porch and uncovered deck to enjoy your morning coffee and listen to the river. Smart TVs available in living room and 2 bedrooms. Feel free to access your streaming services, no cable. Enjoy the front porch that views the Laurel Creek. Gas grill available. Fire pit is available. Smoking is not permitted. No pets allowed. This home is located directly on the Virginia Creeper Trail. You’re a short bike ride to downtown Damascus (2mi) and to the grocery store (1.2). Damascus is known best as Trail Town USA, where seven nationally known trails intersect within its borders, but it is so much more! Damascus and the surrounding areas offer hiking trails, kayaking, biking, local restaurants, brewery and winery. Virginia Creeper Trail is only open from Damascus to Abingdon. Whitetop to Damascus has been badly damaged to Helene. Some local attractions: * 15 minutes from Abingdon. Guest access You have access to the home except basement and the shed on the property. Also, the covered deck on river is private property and NOT a part of the rental.
