Description

Welcome! We’re tucked away on a forested residential street, roughly a 7 minute drive from restaurants, coffee shops and all that Annapolis has to offer. 15m from the coast, 30m from Baltimore and 35m from DC. Tl;dr: this is a private ground-level guest suite with 3 beds, 2 bedrooms, 1 desk (optional standing desk), 1 kitchen with oven, dishwasher + Nespresso/pour over, 2 tvs, laundry room with washer/dryer, fast wifi, a pool, patio and a forest view. We live on the top floor. The space The garden suite has a spacious kitchen with a full-sized fridge, oven and dishwasher, two bedrooms, a cozy tv nook, laundry room and two separate entrances (one on each side of the house). Complete with high speed wifi and a private office space in the 2nd bedroom for remote work surrounded by nature. French doors open out into the backyard with our pool, hammocks etc. Many people ask about pool access; while you stay here, our pool is your pool and same goes for the patio and yard. We have outdoor plugs so you can work from the deck. Steps on the other side of the suite lead up into our garage. Feel free to use either entrance, both are all yours. If you'd like a massage, we have a company we recommend just 4 minutes away. You can go there or they come to you for a massage in the garden! The second bedroom has a trundle bed (one single bed under another single bed) that's big enough for adults but if both beds will be utilized, it's best for kids. It's a little tight for two adults to sleep comfortably in the second bedroom. Your guest suite is the entire ground floor of our house. We have tenants upstairs and have installed soundproofing so both areas are entirely sealed; you have two private entrances of your own with deadbolt locks. There is a full middle level (kitchen/dining room) between this garden suite and the top floor where the tenants sleep—so you have a level of privacy similar to what you might expect from an apartment complex + an extra floor of buffer room at night. We tried to stock your kitchen with the things we always need when we travel (coffee, cooking oil, spices, pots and pans for cooking, towels for sunbathing, Netflix for chilling, etc). Nuestra casa es tu casa. The pool has floaties and you have an automatic pump for anything that goes flat (please let us know when things break!). We've installed a reverse osmosis water filter for the purest water available, placed plants throughout the suite and added MERV-13 filters in our HVAC and a free-standing air purifier to help spruce up your air quality during these extraordinary times. *Please note, the pool is open from April until early November* Guest access Our home is on a safe quiet street lined with beautiful trees. We recommend that all guests bring cars or plan to Uber/Lyft from our house to get around. Our extended neighborhood has coffeeshops, a movie theater, True Food Kitchen, Anthropologie, Target and a Whole Foods all within a ten minute drive. Take a look at our guide to Annapolis for suggestions. The garden suite has two entrances; one in the garage leading down a flight of stairs and another via a set of stone steps that wind through our garden. The garden route (to the right of the driveway) is more scenic but not ideal for rolling suitcases—take them through the garage! Our suite is big enough for one pet, but can't accommodate multiple pets. It's just not big enough for everyone, we've found, and a deep clean between bookings is more thorough when only one pet has been in the space. All entrances are separated from the outdoors & upstairs space by doors with deadbolt locks. There is a boiler room to the right of your laundry area (which is separated from your private space by a door); we might need to access this room during a water or A/C inspection. Connecting to our wifi and enabling calls with wifi will best equip you to make sure you don't lose service in our forested area. Though some providers don't provide great service to our area, once you connect to wifi you won't have an issue. Park in our driveway, there's plenty of room for multiple cars. Other things to note In case it’s not obvious…we like plants. A lot. Please water our little ones and spritz our air plants if you stay over the weekend. They’ll reward you for it! We provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean any mishaps that occur as you stay. Please do. 100% of the cleaning fee goes straight to our cleaners. For the few folks who question why our cleaners ask that guests strip their sheets before they leave: the cleaning fee supports three women who clean the bathroom, bedrooms, kitchen, floors, fridge and rugs, including making beds, folding towels, putting away dishes, cleaning up messes left by pets and guests and everything else you can imagine. Our cleaners bear the brunt of viruses that guests inadvertently leave behind, so in this area the cost of a turnover service that includes stripping sheets and the full time-consuming laundry process (usually 2 loads at the least) is a good deal more expensive. We figure it's best to save you that extra cost and simply ask you to strip the sheets. As we state in our checkout instructions, if you don't have time, no worries. About 9/10 guests do, and our cleaners are very grateful to those guests. Registration Details 000344
