Whimsical Woodland Cottage in Stone Ridge NY

This adorable cottage features an indoor gas fireplace, loft, screened in porch, outdoor fire pit and outdoor deck. It is tucked away from the road yet only minutes to town. Centrally located you can get to all the towns in the Catskills quickly. Plenty to do like hiking, apple picking, antiquing and shopping. This cottage is the perfect retreat from the city. The space This light-filled cottage is quaint (600 square feet) but has plenty of little nooks to explore. It also features a blend of local antiques, local art, mid century modern touches and Hudson Valley charm. Features in Apartment Therapy recently, this is the cutest little cottage around! Enjoy! PLEASE NOTE: You will have to take your garbage when you leave. When you rent it, you are agreeing to that. Additionally, although we have regular pest services, we are located in the woods. Occasionally there may be a bug or two. Our cleaner and pest control does their best to make sure that doesn't happen, but this cottage is located in the woods so I want to be realistic that it's a possibility occasionally. Also, please note the house is set back from the road. In the winter you will be able to see other houses off in the distance. It's set on approxtimately one acre though but is less private than summer, after the leaves fall. The landscaper comes once a week (usually on Thursday) to keep the yard in pristine order. The shower is on the smaller side and can only fit one person. The hot water in the sink sometimes sputters because we are on a well. When the water hasn’t been used for a bit it gets air bubbles in the pipe and can sputter. You will see deer in the yard regularly. They are cute, but please don’t feed them. In the winter I put the table and chairs on the deck away so they are in good condition for the following year. The interior fireplace is gas. If you would like to use the firepit, you must bring your own wood.
