Perfectly situated less than 2 miles from the Southgates of Yosemite National Park, Beachcomber Cabin is an A-frame rustic cabin perched high in the pines of Fish Camp. Fully equipped with a king bed, queen bed and a bunk bed + pull out trundle (baby gear on request), our cabin is great for families, small groups or couples wanting a peaceful getaway. With luxurious linens, a family friendly game area in the loft with an arcade machine and foosball, and views for days and a well stocked kitchen, The space Beachcomber cabin is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, rustic A-frame charmer with big windows in the family room overlooking the majestic pines. The upstairs bedroom is furnished with a king bed. The downstairs bedroom is complete with bunk beds, a pull out trundle and a queen bed. The well equipped kitchen is ready to prepare a family feast in and the super comfy, West Elm sectional is a great space to play a board game after your hiking adventures in Yosemite. The upstairs loft is complete with a selection of kid toys, a foosball table and an arcade machine. The wood burning stove will keep you nice and toasty, with delightful ambiance, during the cool Fish Camp evenings. Beachcomber Cabin is located in the town of Fish Camp, which is situated 2 miles outside Yosemite south gates nestled in the Sierra National Forest. The area lends itself to varied climate being in high elevation, with cool summer mornings and evenings, and sometimes festive snow in the winter. It is perfectly situated in the midst of an outdoor wonderland, perfect for all types of explorers, while being incredibly central to all the activities. The first essential stop just inside the south gates of Yosemite is the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias - where you can see some of the largest, most amazing trees on earth. A few miles down into Yosemite is the village of Wawona where you can horseback ride, golf, go on a stagecoach ride and food options... don't even get us started on the valley floor. The options are endless! If you're looking for an alternative to Yosemite, within a 2 miles radius of the cabin, you can horseback ride through the Sierras, go on a waterfall hunting adventure, or take a trip to the Sugar Pine Railroad. 14 miles south is Oakhurst, with shops, grocery stores and entertainment. Additionally, just outside of Oakhurst is Bass Lake, with endless fun water activities. We also will provide you with an electronic guidebook full of our favorite area activities, eats and sights. Guest access Guests have full access to our entire house, driveway, large decks and 1.5 acres of untouched forest. Please note guests are not given access to the garage. Other things to note Guest access * The driveway is steep and dirt, but accessible for all car types - guests do not have access to the garage * When it's snowing, park your car at the base of the driveway to make it easier to get out when it is icy * Depending on snow accumulation, the front deck may or may not be usable during the winter. We also store the outdoor patio furniture from Thanksgiving until early spring - so the front deck will not have seating. * A full flight of stairs leads to the front door and is required to climb to enter the property * We encourage our guests to purchase CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason) travel insurance to protect your vacation investment from any unforeseen circumstances/events
