The Opus House - Peaceful serenity along the highway to the Taos Scenic Byway

The Opus House is a lovely restored two-story adobe home built around 1945 and nestled in a fruit orchard on the grounds of Truchas Peaks Place. The Opus House contains 5 sleeping spaces, 2 bathrooms & a kitchen, and is perfect for groups of up to 10. The first floor contains a fully-equipped kitchen, a lovely living/sitting room, one bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath. The second floor contains two bedrooms with a queen bed in each, one full bath, a lovely living/sitting room, and a cozy workspace. The leather sofa in the second floor living room also opens out into a queen bed for more sleeping space. There is telephone service and WiFi throughout the house and there is no television. Opus House is located in the scenic little village of Truchas which is situated between the small cities of Santa Fe and Taos. You will enjoy the fine dining, shopping, galleries and museums both towns have to offer. Of course, Truchas contains many fine art and craft galleries as well. There are ancient Pueblos in the area for exploration, Bandelier National Monument and Puye Cliffs. River rafting is a popular sport during the warmer months and Sipapu Ski Resort is a popular winter destination. A relaxing afternoon could be spent at Ojo Caliente, a natural hot springs and spa.
