Started as a passion project in experimental design, with custom furniture built precisely for the retreat, smooth cement floors and unimpeded views of the desert and mountains on all sides, and BLM lands next to the property for maximum privacy, we hope this home provides you with same sense of awe and pure wonder each time we visit Wonder Valley and Joshua Tree NP. Enjoy maximum comfort white retaining a deep connection to the surrounding desert and all its natural beauty. The expansive outdoor areas features multiple integrated places for play and relaxation. A wooden outdoor eating area and gathering deck flows into the hot tub area and walkway to the outdoor shower and the deep pool. The water comes from a natural healing hot springs well. Beyond the pool, there is a fire pit for making smores and staying warm while stargazing at night. Guest access You will have access to our 10-acre private estate. Also enjoy one of the main benefits of this unique location, being surrounded on two sides by government BLM lands which is available for exploration and adventure. You will see around you the remains of Jackrabbit homesteads. This is part of the special history of Wonder Valley. Please stay away from the abandoned mines. Our home blends modern comfort with the beauty of the high desert, which means a few unique details to know before you book: • Mineral-Rich Artesian Water – Our pool, showers, and taps are supplied by pure hot spring-fed aquifer water, naturally rich in minerals. It’s safe to drink and wonderful for skin, though you may notice a “hard water” feel, slight hot springs flavour and scent, and occasional mineral spots. • Blowing Sand – The desert landscape is dynamic, and gentle winds can carry fine sand. Please keep doors and windows closed when not in use to maintain indoor comfort and protect furnishings. • Septic System Care – Our home runs on a septic system, which requires special septic-safe toilet paper (provided) and no flushing of wipes, feminine products, or other items. This keeps the system healthy for everyone.
