Newly built/designed cabin on the 'quietside' of Mount Desert Island (in the town of Southwest Harbor). A short drive to downtown, this one bedroom with loft cabin is warm and cozy. With gas fireplace, AC unit, and all the amenities one would need to begin and end a perfect day in Acadia National Park, it is situated close to nearby hikes, water access for boating, sailing, and ocean kayaking. Southwest Harbor has many wonderful restaurants, lobster pounds, coffee shops, galleries, and shopping. The space Welcome We look forward to having you! Please read below before your arrival to familiarize yourself with the cottage. Check in is anytime after 4 pm, checkout being PROMPTLY at 10 am or before. I will send the code to lock box the morning of your arrival. Please make sure all guest are registered and accounted for. *Check-out instructions: Before you go please pull all dirty sheets, pillowcases and towels in a pile under the ship ladder. Clean all dishes. Turn out all lights, close and lock windows and make sure to lock the door when leaving and put key back in lockbox. Please leave things in the same general condition and place that you found them. House Manual: TV Instructions: SmartTV allows you to access YOUR Hulu, Netflix, your own ITunes and many other stations that you will see listed. However, it does not provide live TV or sports. If you are not familiar with how to work Apple TV just let me know and I'm happy to help. Please be sure to logout before you leave. We do not provide any subscriptions except Netflix Wifi: Hillcrest Wifi password: southwest Please be aware that due to the high volume of people on the island during the summer, and limited cell towers, phone and wifi service will most likely be slow! There is nothing we can do about this and this is an issue all over the island. Certain times of day such as the evening is when it may be most noticeable. Trash/ Recycling Instructions: Please place garbage and recycling in shed at the end of the driveway Towels and Linens: We will provide two bath towels per guest and washcloths. We ask that you do not bring the bath towels to the lakes or beaches, we will provide beach towels for you. Kitchen: You should have all the kitchen essentials you would need to cook meals at the cottage. If upon your arrival you find that something is missing please notify us and we will try to provide you with what you need! We generally will have oil, salt, and pepper. Sawyer's Market is a small grocery located downtown. We usually recommend stopping at Hannafords in Ellsworth upon arrival to stock up on groceries, as they have a larger selection of food. Essentials : The paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, shampoo, body wash, etc that is provided when you arrive is all we offer. If you run out it is your responsibility to purchase more Guidebook is located at home with all of our favorite spots on the island. You can obtain brochures and more information at the Harbor House across the street. Other things to note Please note that check out time is 10am sharp. We only have a short amount of time to clean before the next guest arrives and our cleaning staff cannot adjust her schedule.
