The space Your fully-furnished second floor loft apartment boasts over 1,600 square feet of open-plan, airy space, 14 foot vaulted ceilings and tons of windows. It sleeps two in romantic luxury or offers a peaceful retreat for someone looking to work remotely in the comfort and beauty of the Maine woods. Secluded, space to yourself. Interior garage bay for guests. Sunny balcony, seasonal private dock access to Phillips Lake / Lucerne-in-Maine, use of a tandem kayak. Outdoor grilling, fire-pit seating area. Hiking trails on the property, 27 acres of land. Guest access It’s all yours except for two garage bays (owner storage). Occasionally owner may need to access the storage, but always sends a text before hand. Owner is nearby if you need something, but prefers to leave guests to their peaceful solitude. Other things to note The Loft is a lake property, though we located it across the street from the water, so it has the feel of a modern tree-house in the woods. A short walk across the street and you find yourself at your private dock access to Phillips Lake. Secluded in nature, situated on 27 acres of Maine woods. The Loft is accessed via unpaved roads which can be challenging when it’s wet or snowy. An SUV is always the better choice over the sports car for exploring Maine! Distance to Acadia is 18 miles / time dependent on traffic / time of year. There are two external motion activated Blink cameras with audio, one pointed on the entry door to the owner’s garage and the other on the side entry door to the renter’s garage. These are for entry point security only, there is no camera coverage of any outdoor recreation areas such as the balcony or fire pit / grill area, or any interior spaces. The two cameras are not connected to the property’s exterior floodlights. Guests should also note, the property is situated in the Maine woods. Encounters with wildlife are always possible, though rare. Additionally, we provide information regarding hunting seasons in Maine and when guests should wear the orange visibility gear we provide (hats, dog vests etc) while walking in the area. It is not uncommon to hear distant gunfire during these seasons. If this is something you would find upsetting, please refrain from booking the Loft (especially during the Fall).
