Georgian Bay Waterfront Cottage

Georgian Bay waterfront cottage with 85 foot frontage. The refreshing lake is only footsteps away. Located on Deanlea Beach / adjacent to Bluewater beach. A quick 1.5 hours from downtown Toronto. This family cottage is fully equipped, and well maintained. Nestled in a secluded area off a private road. Spectacular sunsets, intimate lake views, and landscaped grounds. It's the perfect place to build lasting memories. Escape from the ordinary at this unique waterfront retreat right on the water. The space You will love this place because it is located right on a private waterfront where you can swim all day, enjoy water sports or just sun bathe. The protected scenic Bluewater Sand Dunes are next door and offer an amazing lookout onto the lake. This well cared for family cottage is super cozy. The open living room has 11 foot ceilings and a fireplace with large windows overlooking the lake for stunning views. During the day the Blue Mountains are visible when looking south and at night the sunsets are front and centre, among the best in world, we’ve been told. The cottage is great for couples, friends and families and is pet friendly, assuming your pet is well behaved. About 1500 sq. ft. in size, and with 3 bedrooms, this cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests, although 4 guests is the more ideal number. Large sliding glass doors open to a sunny deck which in turn leads to a tree canopied path which opens right up on to the private shoreline. A shaded glass table sits atop the deck , accompanied by a BBQ to enjoy meals with friends and family. There is a modern flag stone fire pit waterside with ample seating. There is an additional seating area at the back of the cottage located between two garden areas. We also have a great hammock that can be moved to your favourite location on the property, for lounging in. There are 4 large comfortable couches, two of which recline. The living room has a TV with a combo VCR/DVD player, with a selection of over 70 movies to choose from. High speed Internet with wifi range extending to the shoreline and outdoor bbq area. We have plenty of books and family games to offer. We provide towels, sheets and pillows. Plenty of blankets are also available. All living spaces are carefully cleaned, washed and sanitized, as the case may be, in preparation for the arrival of new guests. The kitchen is fully stocked. We have a fridge, freezer, washing machine, dryer, popcorn maker, coffee maker, blender, microwave, water dispenser and all sorts of dishes, cutlery and utensils for cooking up a fantastic meal. We include paper towels, aluminum foil, garbage bags, dishwashing and dishwasher soap etc. We provide a large 5 burner BBQ with a side burner. Included is a full tank of propane gas. The bathroom has a shower and a tub and is equipped with bath and hand towels, soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, and a hairdryer. Although the cottage is secluded, the nearest towns are only a 15 to 20 minute drive away. Wasaga Beach, Midland, Penetang or Elmvale are all towns where you can fulfill your shopping needs. Dogs are welcome to stay, but with a few requirements: we require that your dog remain on the property and not cross to the neighbours as the area is open and not fenced. If off property, pets must be kept on a leash as per Township of Tiny bylaws Guest access Guests have the entire cottage and surrounding property to themselves. There's a private 85 foot wide waterfront area and a half acre of green space in the rear which can accommodate parking for 4 cars. Guests have full access to high speed internet, with great connectivity, and extended wifi range, allowing users to be connected while at the lakes edge. Other things to note We do not charge an additional cleaning fee for our guests on the assumption that guests will respect our family cottage and leave it in a neat and tidy condition for us to do the big clean for the next guests. We provide a vacuum and cleaning supplies to this end. We appreciate guests washing the dishes before they leave and identifying bedding, towels etc. to be washed. Please don't leave damp towels lying about, if need be, dry them and then place them with the items to be washed. We have identified above what we provide in the kitchen and the bathroom. We also provide propane for the BBQ and wood for the fire pit. Please exercise caution when burning wood. Do not use the fire pit in windy weather or when the County issues fire and burn bans. We expect guests to dispose of their garbage and re-cycling items in our garbage receptacle. Weekly garbage pickup happens Mondays. Please be aware of the fact that we are on a septic system. Do not throw anything other then reasonable amounts of toilet paper into the toilet. Please note that our kitchen counter is not heat proof. Do not place hot pots and pans etc. on the counter without using a countertop protector that we have provided. Mosquitoes can be a nuisance during some summer months. Please purchase bug repellent. We have a couple of bug zappers at your disposal. Please limit the number of guests that you invite to the cottage. We are surrounded by family cottages and need to be respectful of our neighbours. Smoking is strictly forbidden in the cottage. If you are a smoker, please do so away from the cottage and please pick up your cigarette butts and dispose of them in a safe manner. Breaking this rule will result in forfeiture of your security deposit. You are responsible contractually for any and all guests that you invite with you to the cottage during your stay.
