Oxbow Cottage is the perfect bolthole for two people looking for a countryside getaway with beautiful walks through the rolling hills on your doorstep. Complete with log burning stove, beautiful views from the patio and Stow-on-the-Wold less than one mile on foot, this cottage has it all and is the ideal retreat after a day of exploring. One dog is also welcome. The space Nestled in the countryside on the outskirts of Stow-on-the-Wold is Oxbow Cottage, a beautifully refurbished Cotswold stone cottage which sleeps up to two guests in one king size bedroom. Cosy up in front of the wood burning stove in the open plan living room and kitchen or enjoy dining on the patio whilst soaking up the views. The cottage is also pet friendly and welcomes up to one well-behaved dog. Accommodation This one bedroom holiday cottage in Stow-on-the-Wold is the perfect dog friendly romantic retreat. The accommodation is laid out as follows: Ground Floor Oxbow Cottage is a single level home with a small step into the property and two small steps onto the patio Kitchen/living/dining room Electric oven with four-ring electric hob, fridge/freezer, combined washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave, cafetière, Nespresso Pixie coffee machine (no capsules provided), kettle and toaster Wood burning stove, two-seater sofa, rattan chair, Smart TV with Netflix (guests to use their own login) and DVD player Wooden dining table which comfortably seats two Bathroom Walk-in shower, loo, basin and heated towel rail Master bedroom (Sleeps 2) King size bed, two bedside lamps, freestanding wardrobe with hangers, chest of drawers, dressing table and one bedside table, wooden chair and luggage rack Outside Two steps lead down from the driveway to the lovely patio area which houses a bistro table with seating for two and offers spectacular rural views. Two grass verges line the drive and a well-fenced paddock lies adjacent to the property which guests and their dogs are welcome to use at their leisure An outdoor wooden shed on the north side of the cottage houses an iron and ironing board Guest access Guest access details will be provided in the welcome letter. Other things to note The maximum occupancy for this property is 2 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under) Bed linen and towels are provided - all bedding is hypoallergenic Off street parking is available for up to 2 cars 1 travel cot and 1 highchair are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided) 1 medium sized dog is welcome for an additional £40 per booking per dog. Details of stockists can be found in the cottage welcome file on arrival Whilst the home is all on one level, the driveway is gravel, there is a step on entry to the cottage and the doorways are standard width. There are also two steps down to the patio The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property Things to Note... Events are not permitted without prior consent A security deposit is required at this property Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00 The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates Charging electric vehicles at this property is not permitted
