Nestled within a private 78 acre estate including our heritage apple orchard is our cozy cabin escape! Direct access to stunning Loughborough Lake for swimming, canoeing & fishing. The cabin, although not fancy or modern, is delightfully quaint, charming & has all the amenities you need for a peaceful, private & quiet Canadian vacation. PRICING - everyone is equal! We do not charge a higher fee for weekends, give discounts to early bookers or penalize last minute getaways - one price for all! The space Located in a beautiful organic apple orchard, you will enjoy total peace and privacy here with a direct view of, and private walk to Loughborough Lake. Swim by your own private dock and have a bonfire by the water's edge. Enjoy the lingering sunset and listen to the incredible calls of the loons. Two decks attached to the cabin provide you with lots of outside space to hang out on. A BBQ and picnic table is is available on the lower patio. This is a working organic farm; we have horses, chickens, heritage pigs, our large and friendly farm dog, Gemma. Pick up some free range eggs, maple syrup and honey, apple cider, fresh veggies and homemade sourdough bread at our Farm Gate store. Our property offers hours of hiking trails, including a 1.5 km path encircling the entire waterfront of the property. Chances are you'll spot porcupines, raccoons, foxes, wild turkeys, eagles, hawks and deer. At night you'll hear the yipping of coyotes and the howling of wolves under a star studded sky. In June and July we have a magical display of dragonflies by day and fireflies by night. Guest access Our guests have full access to Loughborough Lake for canoeing, kayaking, swimming and fishing. NOTE - we do not provide any water equipment, but you are welcome to bring your own. Guests have their own private dock for swimming, suntanning and hanging out. They also have access to our private 78 acre property for hiking, walking, wandering and reflecting. Other things to note The cabin is located above our Farm Gate where we have free range eggs, maple syrup, fresh pressed organic apple cider, organic apple cider vinegar, homemade sourdough bread and other 'made on site' products. Feel free to be friendly to the neighbours as they drop by for fresh eggs and cider and of course, get some for yourself!
