On the island, explore historic homes, the 7-miles of hiking trails 4.5-mile dirt road for hiking/biking, fishing pond for kids 15 and under, Wildlife viewing tower. Moose Mountain Mini-golf and ice cream is a 5 minute drive away. Guest access Richmond is a small town in farm country. The limited ambient light means that the stars in the sky are brilliant at night. The Topsham Fair Mall is 19 minutes away. The excellent restaurants of Lewiston are 36 minutes away. The Steven King tour in Bangor is 1 hour 25 min away, but it is worth it. Other things to note Captain Zacchias (Tiger) Allen was a clipper ship captain who sailed around the world. The charts he made can be seen at the Maritime Museum in Bath. He built this house in 1906 when he retired from the sea – it was built like a ship, tight, snug, and strong.
