A bright clean unit in a charming fourplex in Oakland's vibrant & diverse Dimond District: cafes, restaurants, shops, etc. such as Farmer Joe's for amazing produce. Excellent hiking & walking nearby at Sausal Creek. 1 block from i580- minutes from vibrant downtown Oakland, and 12 miles from San Francisco. The unit is simple, & spacious, with updated bathrooms and kitchen & wood floors in the living areas. Bart is 2 miles away. This unit is for QUIET enjoyment as we have tenants below The space This bright 2 bedroom unit has hardwood floors, newer bathrooms (2) and kitchen, and the unit is comfortably laid out for guests. A shared deck out back is available for QUIET enjoyment in respect of our neighbors. There is no parking listed but you can park across the driveway parallel to the street only in the spot just below your unit for small and mid size cars. Guest access Full use of kitchen, laundry, and use of a deck that backs onto the creek. Please note, guests will have access to the entire unit/apartment, which is private, though it is one unit in a fourplex, therefore it is important our guests use it for quiet enjoyment and are conscious of noise levels after 10 pm, and do not use the laundry machines/dishwasher/showers past the set quiet hours Guests may use the parallel parking spot on the street that is the driveway. There is generally plenty of street parking however. Please be mindful of street sweeping days. Other things to note Please note that durning certain seasons Oakland can have ants. It is never a big problem, but we ask that you please ensure you do not leave food or drinks out, or crumbs/food as this will attract insects. If you are particularly sensitive to this, maybe this is not the best unit for you- but as stated, it is really not an issue as there are generally not many and they stay away if there is no food or drinks to attract them. We have strict quiet hours because of other units from 10 pm-8 am for our neighbors. Strictly no smoking in the unit or out front on the patio please. Street parking is available, but it gets busy, but you can use our driveway directly under the unit and park parallel to the street for small/mid size cars. Street sweeping on the apartment side of the street is the 1st wednesday of every month from 12.30 pm - 3.30 pm. Please do not move furniture in the unit- guests will be responsible for the cost of scratched floors. The unit is shoe free, please leave your shoes at the door and use the slippers provided if you choose. You can access the back deck by exiting the property and going right along the path to the back of the building. PER THE LISTING, WE DO NOT HAVE A/C. It is unusual to have AC here in the Bay as we don't generally get so hot apart from a few days a year, and the nights are quite cool. We do have fans however.
