The cabin is located down a narrow dirt road in the heart of the Forrest however we do have neighbors that sit close to the cabin and one cabin directly across the creek. Other things to note !!!!!There is a short section of narrow dirt roads to get to the cabin. Some experience driving on these types of roads would be beneficial. We have never had trouble getting in with a Minivan and have never used 4 wheel drive but some guests have found the drive to be intimidating!!!!! Please keep this in mind when booking:) There is a fire pit for your enjoyment however you will need to supply your own firewood. You can purchase this at Home Depot in blue ridge. The indoor fire place is propane and the directions will be in the cabin for operating. The remote to control the fire is grey and should be on the mantle. Directions: Open the propane with the lever to the left then twist the knob to ignite. Press the ignite button several times and hold it for a few seconds after it ignites then place the knob to on. The house will heat up very quickly especially the upstairs with use of the fireplace. You may want to limit use of fireplace or at least monitor it as some find it too hot to sleep after the fireplace has been on for an extended period of time. Road is an old logging road and not maintained well then you have to hike a short distance to get to bridge. -blue ridge adventure park -We have tubes at the house and often float our creek. That takes a bit of work b/c you have to meet at end of creek which takes about 2 hours to float but requires preparing the tubes and having someone pick you up.
