The kitchen has been remodeled to open the space and includes a 5 burner gas range with island vent, stainless appliances (side by side fridge, dishwasher and microwave), breakfast bar, pantry, tile floor and an abundance of kitchen utensils and appliances. The main floor has original floors that have been refinished to lighten and brighten the space. The walls have been upgraded with a modified venetian texture and washed paint. All the furniture is updated! From the couches to beds to Big Screen HD TV, it's all new & clean! There is a new in 2020 full sized washer/dryer to do laundry on longer stays! The upstairs has 2 bedrooms and a 3/4 bathroom. The shower was remodeled in 2016 with new tile and new glass door. This is a wonderful home in a quiet neighborhood in downtown Colorado Springs. There is off street parking and a patio as well! The front yard has a privacy hedge too! The home is very close to Colorado College, a mile to downtown Colorado Springs and minutes to everything else in town. You will love staying in our home, making your vacation that much better! You have access to the entire house We live in Colorado Springs, so if there are any issues, we are close by. You will gain access with a lockbox and I am available to walk the house if needed. The neighborhood is called the Old North End. When the city was being founded, this was one of the original neighborhoods. There are a lot of nice victorian style homes in the area. The area has very large trees (100+ years old) and is friendly and pedestrian/cyclist friendly. A car is necessary in Colorado Springs as we don't have abundant public transit. From the house, you can walk to a lot of things but a car makes it easier. There is a Safeway Grocery Store a mile or so away, a coffee shop on the next block, a few blocks away (on the south side of Colorado College) there are restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, etc. There are some local ice cream shops close by as well. We love BJ's Velvet Freeze and Cy's. We are available to give our tips on places to go!
