Light Rail takes approximately 20 minutes to downtown & 50 minutes to Sea-Tac Airport (which is between Tacoma and Seattle). The TransitGo app is helpful. Our neighborhood is a quiet, walkable, residential neighborhood with beautiful towering Douglas Fir Trees and Olympic Mountain & Puget Sound views. It has access (2 min drive or 15 min walk) to Carkeek Park with beach access, trails and play areas. Diva Coffee and the Broadview Tap House are walkable but it is best to use mass transit or car rental to see more of the area. The bnb has a garden view…it does not have a water or mountain view. King & XL Twin Bed: Solid genuine wood with high quality mattresses for maximum comfort, 100% cotton linens, duvet comforters used in the winter. Soft cotton towels are provided. All bedding, towels and decor covers are washed with 7th Generation detergent: non-toxic & fragrance free. We have high speed internet. Cable TV & login to your streaming accounts or use AirPlay from your device. Kitchenette: consists of a mid-sized refrigerator, sink, Keurig/tea maker, microwave, toaster and an induction hot plate. See photos. Dishes, flatware, pots & pans provided. The guest suite & porch is private with its own entrance but it is attached to our home so you may hear/see us come and go. We have 2 cats & a visiting dog on our property that you may see in our backyard. There is a desk/vanity in the bedroom with space to work and a combo regular & magnified mirror. The bnb is shaded by Douglas Fir trees and large Rhododendrons so it stays cool especially if the living room blinds are closed during the heat of the day (summer) while you are out exploring. Fans are provided in the warmer months. Although we welcome young children the bnb does not have childproofing items such as outlet covers, cabinet locks etc. We do supply games and have a play-n-pack & highchair available by request. Please supervise young children. We supply individual sized: shampoo, conditioner, lotion & soap. We also provide large community-shared bottles of shampoo/conditioner, body wash, hand soap & shaving cream. We prefer natural products so that is what we typically provide in the bnb. Spills happen so we are happy to launder a few items if needed and if we are available. Lunar Laundry (with coffee & restaurants nearby) has a good reputation. A small iron & board is provided in the bnb. Guest access The bnb & porch overlooking the garden is private.
