Only 20 minutes from Alabama's largest and newest amusement park(OWA), and Tanger Shopping Mall located in Foley, Alabama, house is conveniently near H. L. Sonny Callahan public use airport; just 5 minutes to salt and freshwater fishing, 10 minutes to Quail Creek golf course, 30 minutes to the sugar-white Gulf Shore beaches, 30 minutes to Mobile, Alabama, and less than an hour to Pensacola, Florida. Property is boat-friendly, and free public boat launches, are readily available. Golfing, biking, tennis, salt and freshwater fishing, kayaking, and boating are all popular activities in Fairhope. Other things to note Fairhope's "town square" is a Bay-front property with 1/4-mile pier (extending over Mobile Bay), swimming, picnic areas, landscaped rose garden, benches, restrooms, marina, restaurant, walking trails and duck pond. It is open 24 hours, and there are no fees. The sunsets are spectacular over the bay waters. If golf is on your list of things to do, there are many alluring golf courses close by to challenge your skills. For those who love to shop, there are the quaint shops in downtown Fairhope. Other attractions in Fairhope are the Alabama Coastal Birdfest and Shrimp Festival (October) in the fall, Mardi Gras (before lent, in February), and the Arts & Crafts Festival (March) in the spring. It is a short drive to the casinos on the Gulf Coast (Mississippi/Alabama), or you can take a regular charter for the day.
