Beautifully appointed home with a wonderful mountain view on 2.5 acres of land. Sleeps 10. Very private location just a few miles to downtown Highlands, 7 1/2 minutes down Buck Creek Road from the Cashiers Rd (Hwy 64 East.) Managed by Highlands Vacation Rentals, a locally owned company. *This is an animal friendly (DOGS ONLY) property. Pets must be approved and a pet fee is required.* The space This large and lavish 2 level home is perfect for a secluded mountain retreat, while still being less than 10 minutes drive to town. The great room has wood floors, a beautiful stone woodburning fireplace and cathedral ceilings. The great room fireplace opens through to the gourmet kitchen. The large dining area boasts a bark accented wall and is surrounded by windows for plenty of natural light. Outside there is a large covered deck with a woodburning fireplace and a beautiful mountain view. A luxurious Master suite (King) and its sitting area are also open to the deck. A second bedroom, a guest suite (King), is located off of the livingroom. The lower level has the second guest suite (Queen) plus a sitting area with a kitchenette and a fourth bathroom. This level opens to a covered patio and a stone terrace with another outdoor fireplace. In addition to the three formal bedrooms, there is a pullout Queen sofa bed in the lower family room with its own bath, and a Double Murphy bed in the office across from the Master bedroom. There is a great grassy area which is perfect for tossing a football, plus a two car garage. This property has easy access to hiking and mountain biking trails in the national forest land. 4WD is suggested, though not required, for access to the home. It has a gravel mountain driveway that can be tricky in adverse weather or after there has been a lot of rain. However, Owner has recently paved lower part of driveway for easier access. Sports cars or other low-sitting cars are not recommended. **Please note, this home has very limited cell signal, but there is high-speed StarLink internet (new! added late 2023) and a landline available at the home for guest use. ** *This is an animal friendly (DOGS ONLY) property.
