Wine Country living at its best! We enjoy our wine country life and would like to share it with you. Our two-bedroom, two-bath cottage has our CCOF certified organic Syrah vines as a backyard and its own private bocce ball court. Enjoy the setting of our vineyard right out the french doors or from the upstairs deck. A short stroll or ride on our complimentary bikes will take you to the heart of the historic charming town of Los Olivos. A romantic getaway or a fun place for two couples, or girlfriend get-togethers looking for a special place to stay while visiting Santa Barbara Wine Country. You will be welcomed upon arrival with a bottle of our estate wine and a complimentary cheese plate from our restaurant. Our hope is that guests feel the relaxation of being on vacation the moment they arrive. The Winery Retreat is separate from our main house and shares the same structure as our winery, hence the name, Winery Retreat. This retreat has its own bocce ball court, yard, and patio, directly in front of our vineyard. We enjoy meeting our guests at some point during their stay, but value their privacy. We live on the property in the main house which is in a separate area so we each have our privacy. If guests would like to learn more about our property, our wines, and tour the Cafe Farm that produces much of the produce for our restaurant, the Los Olivos Cafe, we offer a complimentary tour of our vineyard, small winery, and farm upon request. Downtown Los Olivos with over 30 wine tasting rooms, boutique shops, and restaurants, is only a 10-15 minute walk or short ride on the cruiser bikes. Los Olivos and Surrounding Area: The 20+ tasting rooms, galleries, and restaurants, of our quaint little town, are a 10 minute walk (20 minute stroll) or a short bike ride away. We also offer complimentary cruisers. Our kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, there is a little market down the street (5 minute stroll). But with the world class dining available in our area you might not want to boil water. The Santa Ynez Valley comprises the danish town of Solvang, the western themed town of Santa Ynez, Ballard, Buellton, and Los Olivos. Aside from tasting the many vintages of the Santa Barbara County wines the valley offers; biking, horseback riding (in fact, if you have a horse and want to bring them, we have room for two), hiking, fishing, live theatre, movie theatre, shopping, festivals, surfing and much more. Santa Barbara is a 40 minute drive and the beach is only 30 minutes. If you only stay two nights, you'll wish you have stayed more! Your own transportation is recommended. We value tranquil wine country living, along with our neighbors. We ask that guests adhere to an appropriate code of conduct conducive to quiet country life. No guests, outside the guests staying at the retreat, are permitted on the property unless specific authorization has been provided. Though our property is ten acres, sound travels. We ask guests to adhere keep the noise level down after 9:00. If we get any complaints from neighbors a warning will be issued, and then immediate eviction (this has never happened in our 10+ years of having vacation rentals on our property, but we put it out there to weed out anyone looking for a place to have loud parties into the night).
