Green Door Cottage sits in the heart of a bustling area in quirky Ocean Beach—steps from top restaurants, tasting rooms, yoga studios, and shops. Enjoy free parking for one car and bring your dog! Dog beach and the dog park are both a few blocks away. The home is designed with stylish décor and A/C for comfort and fun, we welcome everyone to our home! The space About the Green Door Cottage Welcome to our cozy little Green Door Cottage — a bright, cheerful OB hideaway with tons of charm and easy walking access to the beach, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, breweries, and all the quirky Ocean Beach magic. It’s the perfect spot for travelers who want to be close to everything. Now for the important part: the cottage is located on a very loud, busy street and directly under the San Diego airport flight path. Planes take off from about 6:30am to 11:00pm, and traffic noise is constant. Most guests feel the location and walking proximity make up for the noise, but we want to be extremely clear up front. We provide earplugs, noise machines, and fans to help with sound. Inside, the cottage is modern, clean, and thoughtfully furnished. It sleeps up to 4 guests and is filled with natural light from large windows in every room. The layout includes a living room, a cozy kitchen nook and dining area, a small bedroom with closet, and a full kitchen and bathroom with a shower and bathtub. The living room has a full-size pullout sleeper bed, a Samsung Smart TV, and an electric fireplace with a built-in heater. The kitchen includes all essentials, plus a microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, drip coffee maker, and a compact 4.5 cubic foot refrigerator. There is no dishwasher. The main bedroom has a Tempur-Pedic queen mattress and a closet. Important note: there is no door to this bedroom—only a privacy curtain. Please be sure this layout works for your group. The living room also includes games, a Bluetooth speaker, and a charging station. Outside, enjoy the large fenced-in front yard with market lights, lounge chairs, beach chairs, and boogie boards. Parking for one vehicle is located directly next to the house. We welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs (no cats or other animals). A hose is available out front to rinse sandy pups after Dog Beach. Guests have access to the entire home and the private front yard. The backyard belongs to the neighbor, so guests may not use the back door or backyard. There is no washer or dryer, but a laundromat is just a few blocks away. The home is professionally cleaned and inspected before each stay. Check-in is easy with self check-in instructions sent before arrival. Due to cleaning standards and quick turnarounds, late check-out is not available. Please note: all guests must complete a short rental agreement after booking. Check-in instructions are provided once the agreement is signed. Please note: For stays 20 days or longer, the cleaning fee is doubled. We provide a welcome book with helpful information, and we're always available for questions and recommendations to help you enjoy your Ocean Beach adventure. Guest access Guests are welcome to the entire house and front yard. The back yard is our neighbor's property. We provide a lockbox for easy entry into the home. Thank you! Other things to note Parking - There is one parking space assigned for this home directly next to the fence around the front yard. Please only park in this designated spot. San Diego Airport is not far away and this location in on a very busy street and is in a flight path of planes taking off between 6:30am -11pm if you are a light sleeper we have earplugs, white noise machines and fans provided for your convenience.
