Large windows across the back of the home bring the outdoors in, creating a quiet connection to the surrounding landscape from nearly every room. In the evening, settle into the living space beside a hand-laid stone fireplace and enjoy a movie on the 62-inch Smart TV. You will have an exclusive and secluded natural playground for activities like hiking, fishing, and floating, far from public crowds, and private access to 172 acres of farmland and the San Gabriel River. The San Gabriel river borders the north side of the farm and is accessed by an approximately five-minute walk or a short drive through the pasture; it is not visible from the home. Bring tubes for floating, or enjoy fishing, fossil hunting, birdwatching, or relaxing by the water. This is a place designed for slowing down—where mornings linger, evenings stretch long, and the land invites you to simply be. 🐾 EXCEPTIONALLY PET-FRIENDLY STAY We welcome dogs with a one-time $70 pet fee, which helps us maintain a clean and well-prepared home for all guests to enjoy. Dogs may enjoy off-leash time in outdoor areas across the farm, and they are not required to be crated. Guests are welcome to smoke outdoors with care and proper disposal, but please no smoking in the home. This is a working 172-acre farm and we invite you to enjoy it fully while respecting the land, wildlife, and structures that make it special. Because we are on a septic system and do not have a disposal, please keep the drain cover in the sink when draining the water to prevent food from going down the drain. Only toilet paper should be flushed to protect the septic system. Disposable wipes can catch on the joints and clog the system. The home's hand-laid stone walls and art by a presidential favorite artist provide a memorable backdrop for a rustic and story-rich getaway. 🌙 CLOSING EXPERIENCE NOTE Rocky Overlook is a place to step away from the pace of daily life and return to what feels simple, quiet, and real—surrounded by nature, space, and stillness. Guest access You will have private, exclusive access to the entire home and its immediate surroundings, including two private patios, the fire pit, charcoal BBQ grill, and private entrance. Free parking is available on the premises. The river borders the north side of the farm and is accessed by an approximately five-minute walk or a short drive through the pasture; it is not visible from the home. Bring tubes for floating, or enjoy fishing, fossil hunting, birdwatching, or relaxing by the water. Arrival is seamless; the door will be unlocked with the lights on and the key waiting for you on the dining table. Other things to note Furniture covers are in a basket in the utility room for your convenience to use on any furniture your pets might like to be on. Guests tell us their pets enjoyed their farm stay as much as they did! Please note that there is no fenced yard, so you'll want to keep an eye on your furry companion. Exterior security cameras are on the property at the farm entry and barn areas. Country evenings are dark because there are no streetlights. If returning after dark, leave the porch light on before heading out; clear nights offer spectacular stargazing.
