Seal Ledge - water's edge cottage with kayaks

Beautiful cottage sitting literally on the water's edge makes you feel like you're staying on a boat (minus the rocking!). Soak up the sun and watch the sun set on the private deck or take a few steps down to the dock and use our kayaks to go visit the seals that hang out on the rocks just down the cove all summer long. The cathedral ceiling great room is all glass facing the water so you can enjoy if it's too cool to sit outside. Only 15 mins to Brunswick and central to everything Harpswell! The space This classic water's edge cottage has all the amenities for a perfect stay in Maine. Updated throughout for the 2020 season, there are two bedrooms plus a super cute sleeper cottage to accommodate up to 6 total. Plenty of comfortable indoor space to cook, eat and lounge and a private lot on a quiet dead end road for enjoying the outdoors. You could easily spend a week here without leaving (at least by car, not kayak!), but all of Harpswell's attractions are only a short drive - see our guide for the best! Certainly the highlight is the close proximity to a series of ledges that the seals love to hang out on: use the two new kayaks to venture over and the curious little guys will come say hi. Guest access The full cottage, the private dock and the surroundings can be accessed by guests. The small country roads invite for long walks off the main roads. Other things to note Note: the dock is typically in the water Memorial day to late September, depending on the tides. The kayaks are not available when the dock is out.
