I offer a comfortable, lovely bedroom with double bed/private bathroom. A short walk through the woods to a private beach on Lake Memphremagog, surrounded by mountain scenery, walking trails in nearby Bluffside Farm cruising on the lake, hiking, fishing, excellent restaurants, art galleries and Jay Peak Ski Area/ Resort are nearby. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, antique furnishings including antique quilt. The house is furnished with my treasures from years of living and working overseas. The entire upper floor is at your disposal with the exception of the owner's master suite. A complete breakfast is included which can also be served on the deck, weather permitting. Kitchen can be used for making coffe or tea or reheating with microwave, but no cooking please. The TV room with DVD player is also available to guests I will be available to answer questions and make suggestions for interesting excursions The area is very quiet and peacful. Newport is a charming little town at the foot of Lake Memphremagog, a 30 mile long lake with mountain views and great sunsets. The Eastern Townships of Quebec offer many interesting excursions. Two hours from Montreal and Burlington, one hour from Stowe. Jay Peak, Burke and Owl's Head ski areas are nearby. An excursion boat offers trips on the lake. Summer theater nearby and many good restaurants and galleries. Two hours from airports in Montreal and Burlington. One hour from Amtrak in Montpelier. Car rental available in the town of Newport. Probably best to have your own car, but arrangements could be made by the ownerr for airport pickup and car rental My home is furnished with the collections of many years traveling abroad, particularly in Asia. Visitors often say it is like stepping into a museum! Parking is not a problem, and the house is very near the lovely bike trail which runs along the lake, if you wish to bring a bike. Rental bikes are also available in town. There are also extensive bike trails in the Eastern townships
