My place is ski-in/out at Solitude Mountain Resort with access to all the amenities of Club Solitude. You’ll enjoy the space because it's the largest of only 7 units on the top floor of the Powderhorn Lodge. It's also corner unit and has views of the resort and Wasatch Mountain ranges. And you're steps from restaurants, spa, bar and ski lifts! The space is ideal for couples or for families with kids. The space My family is local to the Salt Lake area and we enjoy spending weekends in the Wasatch Mountains.  Our unit is nicely situated in the village and has views not only of the resort and ski hill but of surrounding mountain ranges as well.  It’s also a corner unit that has windows on the west (the sunny side of the building) and north sides so you’ll enjoy ample light.  It overlooks the village and is on the resort side of the building so you’re in the middle of the action but with top floor privacy. The unit has a master with a king bed, dual vanity master bath and a bay window.  The second bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bunk bed.  Both rooms have flat panel TVs and the second room has a WII U with games.  There is also a second bathroom and a queen sleeper and twin sleeper in the living room sofas.  The unit will sleep up to 8 people (I'd say 6 adults is ideal but the space has beds for 9 but getting a bit tight if you get more than 8 in there with adults and kids - but nice to have the extra bed if someone doesn't want to share a queen or sleep on the top bunk!). I'll add a few additional items based on renting on Air BB the last few years. The mattresses in the unit are newer and are a standard softness - not the "plush" and not the "firm". If you have a condition that requires a firm mattress it's possible you may consider the mattresses in the unit to be a little bit on the soft side. Also there is no venting from the kitchen to the outside of the unit. This is the same for all the units in the Solitude Village. The microwave above the stove in the kitchen does have a built in fan (included from manufacturer) but if you're cooking something that's producing a lot of smoke on the range top the fan on the microwave will not vent out smoke. The internet in the lodge is generally pretty good. We can typically stream video on multiple TVs and devices in the unit. But during peak times like Christmas and New Years or over the President's Day weekend the village is pretty full and I assume more pressure on the bandwidth. As far as I know it works well even during peak times but possible could be slower with more users. The internet is provided by the lodge and I don't have control over speeds or if there's a disruption in service. Guest access Condo rental includes lobby level ski and snowboard lockers, free underground parking, free laundry room (located next to the unit) and access to Club Solitude. (This includes an outdoor heated pool, sauna, movie room, gym, game room and hot tubs.) There is also a hot tub in the Powderhorn lodge, 6 onsite restaurants and a spa and bar. Other things to note Our family really enjoys Solitude.  We’ve skied all the resorts up and down the Wasatch front and we think the Cottonwood Canyons are the place to be.  The village has good amenities including an outdoor pool open year round, multiple hot tubs and sauna, a spa, a number of onsite restaurants, a bar and gas fire pits. Probably the best thing about Solitude is that you get great terrain but will rarely wait in long lift lines, even on the busiest of days.     This said, there are a lot of great spots in Utah and Solitude isn't for everyone. The Solitude Village was built around the year 2000. My unit has been largely updated but the building and village shows some signs of age. We love it but some might want the amenities and quality of some of the newer places in Park City or the night life you may find in that area. Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons (Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird, Alta) are the highest elevation resorts in the state (tallest peaks) and typically have the best snow conditions (snow that has less water content - more powder) but the Park City area has newer accommodations and more restaurant and shopping options. I love Park City and even worked on the mountain a few years. Fun and cool spot. The upside, as mentioned, is a greater variety of accommodations and dining options but the down side is higher costs, a lot more people and lower elevation snow conditions. You can get to Park City from Big Cottonwood Canyon in about an hour in winter. (In summer, it's a 7 mile drive over Guardsman's Pass but they close the pass in winter.) It's worth taking some time in that area if it can fit into your plans. Our preference is the resorts in the Cottonwood Canyons. Less pressure in terms of people and better snow. Both areas are a great vacation experience and I recommend checking out all the options when planning a visit. Happy to answer any questions about the area if you want to reach out.
