Most pool heaters heat five to eight degrees above outside air temperatures. Outdoor community pools are generally open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, but the exact date for each community pool varies. Reach out to us for exact dates. A refund is not available in cases of mechanical breakdown or cleaning complaints. Refunds are only available in cases where the home is not habitable. As long as the home is accessible and has water and power there will be no refund. We do our best to identify potential issues prior to a guest's arrival, however there are occasions when amenities, features, or appliances may break in our vacation rental homes. We will address the issue as quickly as possible, however, due to our remote location, repairs generally take longer than in larger cities/towns, especially if parts must be ordered and shipped. If repairs cannot be expedited, we will do our best to provide an alternate solution. For example, if the fridge stops cooling we will provide a loaner fridge, if the AC stops cooling on a level we will provide window AC's, etc. Moving to another home is not an option as each home is individually owned and the lease you are required to sign before your reservation is confirmed (which also states refunds aren't available) is for the specific home you selected. By renting this home you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. The Outer Banks is a remote location with natural surroundings. Therefore, some pests, including Palmetto Bugs and midges, are common to the area and may be found inside homes.
