Hike or cross-country ski three linear miles of wooded trails. Dive into a pristine spring-fed pond, and enjoy a campfire. Watch for wild-life. Fish for bass and trout. Relax in front of the fireplace. Enjoy local farm-to-table cafes, The Baseball All Star Village, Catskill Rail Trail, Hanford Mills Museum, used bookstores, downhill skiing. The space The house at Zelený Les is relaxed yet refined. All four spacious bedrooms are appointed with down comforters and quality linens, and feature additional single beds and/or pull-out sofas for children. The large master bedroom has an en-suite bath and walk-in closet. The fully equipped, sun-filled eat-in kitchen has up-to-date appliances and everything you need for cooking and dining. The airy living/dining room features a wood-burning stove and a 26-foot cathedral ceiling with exposed beams. The bright ground-level finished game room opens out to a lawn and has a foosball table, Pop-a-Shot hoops, and play area with dollhouse for small children. Rounding out the house are the covered balcony and expansive deck for grilling and eating, both with beautiful, private views of the countryside. Other amenities include firewood, high-speed wifi, a 40” Roku smart TV, stereo for streaming music from your device, extra-capacity washer and dryer, and stocked bookshelves to browse. The hundred acres of meadows, marshes, evergreen and mixed wood forests, pond, beaver dams and brook are yours to explore. The land supports an amazing variety of wildlife: watch for deer, fox, chipmunks, rabbits, quail, wild turkeys, herons, porcupines, owls, bald and brown eagles, red-tailed hawks... even fisher cats. In the evening, listen for the hermit thrush, and after the sun sets, in early summer the fireflies put on a show. The forests are criss-crossed with miles of trails to roam, perfect for hiking and snowshoeing. There is a large, spring-fed pond in which to swim and fish for wide-mouthed bass, with a fire pit on its banks. Just outside the house is a hillside that is fantastic for sledding, leading to the tiny brook in the valley, home to rainbow trout. Guest access You'll have the entire house and all of Zelený Les' private, secluded 100 acres to enjoy to yourselves. Other things to note There is no cell phone coverage at Zelený Les. However, we do have high speed fiberoptic internet access, and a landline for emergencies. Switch on wifi calling on your mobile device to be able to make and receive calls. Zelený Les is a family home, not an investment property. We have family belongings and memories of this house and of the property, which has been in our family since 1965.
