Located on Gordons Bay Mountainside, this stunning architect-designed property offers spectacular views of False Bay,Table Mountain and the Helderberg mountain range. The house has been luxuriously furnished and equipped in a contemporary open plan style The space There are up to six air-conditioned bedrooms available. Each bedroom contains a super king or king size bed that can be split into two single beds. Every bedroom has a balcony with lockable sliding doors. Five bedrooms have an en-suite shower and toilet and two of these bedrooms also have a bath and TV. The sixth bedroom is next to a shared toilet and shower room. The default configuration is two persons per bedroom sharing a double bed. Please specify the number of bedrooms you require and the configuration when booking if your requirements differ. Guests can requests additional bedrooms at no extra charge, but the number of bedrooms made available cannot be more than the number of people. We find this home to be popular for functions. We allow functions with 6 extra guest not sleeping over and charged at R200 per person. Functions are to be arranged PRIOR to arrival and consent must be given in writing. Guest access Guests can access the living areas, the pool, the garages, the garden and the bedrooms that they have requested. Other things to note WATER: Dual mains and private water supplies. The house is not subject to water restrictions when the private water supply is in use, which is the normal setup, however, it can happen that both municipal and private water supply lines are damaged and the entire neighbourhood needs to be patient while repairs get underway. The mountain water supply may stop either because the source on the hill behind the house dries up or there is no electrical power. HOT WATER: The geysers are located on the kitchen level behind the scullery. The water in the geysers is heated by a pellet boiler outside the kitchen door. The boiler is on a timer and runs for a few hours three times a day. The geysers have electrical elements, which can be used to heat the water if the boiler is not working. Hot water is pumped around the house, so please test in the kitchen if you are not sure about temperatures. It can take up to 3 minutes to run hot in bedrooms. LOADSHEDDING: South Africa is currently experiencing scheduled power outages last a couple of hours up to 3 times a day. The high power consumption items: the two oven, the induction hob, the air-conditioning and the pool pump that heats the pool, will only run on mains power and are not available in a power outage . The rest of the house equipment, including lights, TV, WiFi/internet, electric blinds and doors, microwave oven and fridges, is powered by a solar power and battery system, which is backed up by mains power. When there is a power outage, you will not notice it except when cooking on the hob or with the ovens under it. Internet and WIFI: The house has a fibre optic connection to the premise and a mesh wifi system. Should the internet provider have technical issues that impact the entire area, we will notify you.
