"The Retreat" Grasstree Beach Shacks

Beachside and central on Grasstree Beach. Self contained 2 bedroom unit on the second floor with ocean views from most rooms. One of the more secluded beachside locations in the Mackay region. Appealing to those recluses or those seeking the tranquility of a small beach community. This is a low tempo, relaxed location that feels like a local's only haunt. No shops or public transportation at Grasstree Beach make this somewhere enjoyed by those who like to get away from the rat race. The space Grasstree Beach is one of the more secluded beachside locations available in the Mackay region. Appealing to those that want the tranquility of a small beach community or the reclusive couple or family looking for that place just outside of town (16km to Sarina or 37km to Mackay). Grasstree Beach boasts the reputation of having the enviable position with a gorgeous view of Zelma bay and easy access to boaties via it's own boat ramp that includes pontoon walkway which is situated on Cabbage Tree Creek and exceptional fishing. For many though it is purely about retreating to somewhere to enjoy downtime with ocean breezes, good company, good conversation and a drink of choice on the deck. Guest access This accommodation is a fully self contained unit with all the expected amenities available exclusively to the guests. There is no share spaces with the exception of the laundry. Full size fridge and fully equipped renovated kitchen with modern Bosch appliances. There is two bedrooms with each room having a Queen size bed. Perfect for the couples getaway or 2 people that need their own room and privacy without the compromise on bedding. As mentioned the laundry is a shared area and one of the two carports are available for the downstairs unit. Other things to note As with most beachside locations there is always the chance of unwanted weather which hinders the outdoor/alfresco lifestyle. Unfortunately our weather controlling machine doesn't exist as yet but its on the list if we ever get the chance to buy one.
