In the middle of VA wine country and only minutes to three Appalachian Trail trailheads. Located 45 miles west of Washington D.C., on a 10-acre property on top of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Private guesthouse (built Jan 2020) with a large deck overlooking trees. The Guest House sleeps 4, has a full kitchen, and access to a Hot Tub at the main house. Breakfast items and snacks included. The space Our home is located on a peaceful 10-acre mountain retreat on the Blue Ridge Mountain Range in the middle of the woods surrounded by trees and wildlife. We are only a few miles from Bear Chase Brewery, Bluemont Winery, Dirt Farm Brewery, and a host of other attractions. The private detached guest house has a full kitchen with all the accessories to include Microwave, Coffee Maker, Refrigerator, Stove, Oven, and Dishwasher. The living room has a Queen size sofa-bed couch and a comfy recliner. There is a 50 inch smart TV with ROKU in the living room with access to all the major channels. A full-sized washer and dryer are in the laundry room. The guesthouse is brand new (Jan 2020) and you can see from the pictures that we are still adding the final touches. Deck furniture has arrived. The hot tub is located on the deck of the main house, a 200 foot walk down the driveway from the guest house. Please take a look at the other unit on the same property if this one is not available. We live on the property in the main house so you may see us out working in the garden or riding the Gator with the grandkids when they come to visit. Winter Note: The higher elevation also means that ice and snow are here much longer than down in the valley. While we are constantly clearing the deck, stairs, and road, we have no control over Mother Nature and cannot guarantee that the area is free of ice and snow. In particularly snowy weather we may advise that you will need a four-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle. Internet Note: We cannot guarantee that the internet will be up and running 100% of the time due to the nature of the point-to-point wireless connection with the ISP. Strong winds often knock the ISP towers out of calibration and the company is not the fastest to respond. Guest access If you wish to use the Hot Tub, we provide robes and towels. There is a firepit for your use behind the guesthouse if you would like to sit outside in the evening with plenty of firewood and kindling.
