This bungalow is right on the ocean in the quiet De Kelders. Just 2 hours from Cape Town, it is the perfect place to get away from it all and experience nature. The bungalow is surrounded by native fynbos and offers stunning ocean views. Activities include: hiking, wine tours, whale watching (directly from the bungalow), marine big 5 and restaurants. Solar power and backup. NOTE: Guppy Huys is NOT suitable for parties or noisy groups. The space With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the space comfortably accommodates six adults. The glass fireplace is perfect for cold evenings. The kitchen was renovated in March 2020 and equipped with all new appliances including a large fridge/freezer, induction cooktop and a large combi microwave/oven/grill, coffee maker and kettle. Solar water heater and photovoltaic panels are friendly to nature and keep the power on even during shutdown. High-speed WiFi is available throughout the bungalow. There is an alarm system including outdoor beams linked to a 24/7 control room. There are several large private outdoor spaces around the bungalow, a covered sidewalk with braai, a boma and many native wildlife on the property. There is outdoor furniture, a built-in brick braai (BBQ), and an outdoor table and furniture. The mid-century modern decor is comfortable and reminiscent of bygone seaside holidays. Simple but comfortable and cozy. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire bungalow and property. The manager lives just a few blocks away in case you have any questions or comments. From the bungalow, you have direct access to the coastal hiking trail that runs from Hermanus through the Walker Bay Nature Conservancy all the way to Hermanus. Horseback riding and bike paths are available nearby. Gansbaai has a small Saturday open-air market. There are also markets in nearby Stanford, Hermanus and Baardskeerdersbos. The historic village of Elim, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is 30 minutes away by car.
