Point of View - Coimbra is a unique house, on the Portuguese Camino de Santiago (St. James Way), in Coimbra, a UNESCO World Heritage City Ponto de vista – Coimbra is a unique house, located in the middle of the Santiago path, in the city of Coimbra, a UNESCO cultural heritage. The space Located at about 1 km of the center of the city and about 2 km of the University, we offer the comfort that a traveler needs. Nearby around the corner at circa 150 m, one can find the "Portugal dos Pequenitos" , a children's delight theme park. With around 400 years of existence this house as been updated with all the modern conveniences like central heating (wooden driven), fully equipped kitchen with microwave, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine, etc, it still keeps it's old charm intact in its unique emplacement. The interior space is divided in two floors. In the first floor one can enjoy a living room, dining room and kitchen in open-space, with a fireplace. There is also a toilet for commodity of our guests. On the second floor one has access to the 3 bedrooms (1 double bed+1double bed + 2 single beds) and the main bathroom. There is also a walking closet for depot of luggage during the stay. The garden of circa 300 m2, with its trees of several types, including a centennial olive tree that provides a cozy shade in the summer heat, and some ( unfortunately few) olives with an extraordinary taste. The extensive lawn will allow for sunbathing in our long chair or on the grass or for cozy naps under the shade of the trees. Tables and chairs placed in several places allow for meals or reading outside, profiting or not of the available barbecue and enjoying the view of the city and river. Just outside the wall of the house one can park up till three cars on most of the days of the year. We are happy to help planning a vast set of activities available nearby with different companies, like tuk-tuk tours, visits to museums, traveling to close-by interest points or personal trainer fitness classes, etc Public transportation in the Botanical garden line that goes to the university, is at 150m, around the corner. In conclusion: this is the perfect spot to explore Coimbra and its surrounds, enjoying of a garden for a deserved pause in-between the tours.
