All rooms have lake views and direct access to the deck. Close access to the highway, 10 min to Vevey and 15 min to Montreux. The space This apartment of 120 m2 offers a comfortable, fully equipped, soundproofed space. It has a large terrace with garden furniture, hammock with a breathtaking view, unobstructed 180 degrees, probably one of the most beautiful views of the Vaud Riviera! Splendid views of Lake Geneva and the surrounding mountains. Hiking enthusiasts will be delighted by the nearby trails, while culture enthusiasts will be able to visit the famous Château de Chillon. If you need more bags, taxed trash bags are sold in rolls of 10 bags at the supermarket checkout. Waste is to be sorted in the recycling bins located in the apartment's laundry room (PET, glass, paper/cardboard). Please take them with you when you leave, as well as household waste, to dispose of them at the recycling point located at Chemin des Crosettes 22, Jongny. A raclette-grill machine and a fondue caquelon are available (burn gel not provided). BBQ equipment provided (charcoal not included). Baby cot with sheets and high chair available on request Following many misadventures, we are forced to insist that we do not accept parties. People who have not booked and arriving in the evening and late noise disturbance will not be tolerated. Listing is new from June 2020. Guest access By train: from Vevey you can take the bus (216 or 217) and you will have to stop at the Chaudette stop, a 10-minute walk from the apartment. You can also find taxis in front of Vevey train station. The ride takes about 10 minutes. By car: Take the Chexbres (arrival from Lausanne) or Vevey (arrival from Montreux) exits and head towards Chardonne then Jongny. If you're arriving from Bern, take the Châtel-Saint-Denis exit and head towards Jongny. The apartment is located under our villa and has a separate entrance. Each room has access to a large terrace that is reserved for guests. A play area (trampoline, basketball hoop, soccer field) is available for guests to use. Other things to note Grocery store, tea room in Chardonne (7-min drive). Restaurants in Jongny (3 min drive) and Chardonne. Supermarkets in Vevey (10-min drive) and Châtel-St-Denis (8-min drive). Several attractions await you: - Chillon Castle, one of the most beautiful medieval castles in Switzerland (in Veytaux near Montreux). - Chaplin's World Museum, dedicated to Charlie Chaplin, located in Corsier, where the great actor retired and lived until his death in 1977. - Swiss Museum of Games, in the castle of La Tour-de-Peilz. - Swiss Camera Museum, located on the Grande Place in Vevey. Many hikes around Jongny and Chardonne will take you to another world. Several electric bike stations in Chardonne, at the arrival of the funicular in Mont-Pèlerin. The "Vevey-Corseaux Plage" pool is located on the shores of Lake Geneva with an indoor pool open year-round and an Olympic-size outdoor pool open mid-May to mid-September. In summer, a non-swimming pool and infinity pool are also open. Several ski resorts are close to the apartment: - Paccots/Rathvel 10 min away, family resorts, with beautiful walks on the marked trails. - Villars-sur-Ollon/Les Diablerets 45 min away (7.2 km sledging descent, one of the longest sledging descents in Switzerland), - Leysin 45 minutes away (Tobogganing Park), -Moléson-sur-Gruyère 40 min away (4 km sledding run), - Portes du Soleil 50 minutes away, the largest cross-border area in French-Swiss Europe The fireworks of the municipalities around the lake (Vevey, Montreux, Villeneuve...) are visible on the night of 31.12 and 31.07 (Swiss national holiday on August 1st) from the apartment and the terrace.
