Townfoot Cottage is a contemporary and sophisticated country cottage, nestling in a ‘picture postcard’ setting in the heart of the Langdale valley, within the pretty hamlet of Elterwater. Directly from the door you can enjoy some of the most beautiful and inspiring walks in the Lake District, with the added bonus of returning at the end of each day to the charming surroundings of Townfoot Cottage. Spa, sauna, swimming pool and gym access at a local club is included, free with your stay. The space Found in the corner of a small courtyard of traditional Lakeland cottages, Townfoot Cottage provides two bedrooms and a family bathroom. The cottage entrance brings you into the contemporary, luxury-fitted kitchen and eating area. Alongside is the living area where you can relax and in colder weather, enjoy the warmth of a log-burning stove, while the large windows allow the Lakeland light to flood in. The lounge also features a 50" 4K smart TV with Apple Airplay and Chromecast, for streaming from your own devices, or watching Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon Prime, if you have memberships. There is a useful laundry/cloakroom at the foot of the stairs and upstairs there are two stylish bedrooms with window seats, where you can enjoy the lovely views. The modern family bathroom is designed for long soaks after a hard day on the fells! Private parking is right outside the cottage. A backup power generator can be activated in the event of a power cut. Guest access The Lakes has a good bus service. For those with a car, there is a parking space just outside the cottage. This is fitted with a 7kW EV charger for those who wish to bring and charge an electric vehicle. Other things to note We are happy to welcome up to two well behaved dogs. However, if you have more than two dogs, feel free to contact us to discuss your needs as we are sometimes flexible, depending on the breed/size etc. No cats allowed, thanks. There is a set of 4 foldaway camping chairs, for your use outside. **The health club - Choices - is located at Troutbeck Bridge, fifteen minutes away, mid-way between Ambleside and Windermere.** EVs must not be connected to the property by any other means than the exterior chargepoint.
