Old Rag Cabin is close to hiking trails such as Old Rag Mountain and White Oak Canyon Falls. It is nestled is on 4 secluded, wooded acres in the Blue Ridge mountains. The cabin overlooks a serene pond full of fish. Rose and Robinson rivers are a short walk away. Enjoy hiking, fishing, scenic drives, campfires, wine tasting, civil war battlefields, apple picking, horseback riding and much more. It is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. Only 90 min drive from D.C. Unplug! The cabin is very cozy and comfortable. It is a true cabin with wooden walls and vaulted ceiling. Prior to your arrival we will email you with specific directions and instructions on how to access the cabin. Or caretaker, Connie, lives just up the hill from the cabin and will check in on you after you arrive. Our caretaker, Connie, will be available should you need her. Her phone number will be provided at the cabin. Wooded and secluded, the cabin sits on 4 acres overlooking the pond. There are other cabins in the area but not that you can see from ours. Dont forget that GPS is unreliable in this remote area. Use maps and written directions...Old School! Bring charcoal, and food with you. There is a full grocery store in Madison, VA (20 min away). There is also a local mercantile just a few miles away for the bare necessities and fishing licenses.
