9Mile presents this dreamy take on OFF GRID, low footprint camping. Located on Marrowstone Island make it base camp for exploring Port Townsend, the Olympic peninsula & Coast. Many island beaches and parks to enjoy under sunnier skies thanks to the infamous "banana belt". Unplug in the truest sense of the word no electricity or running water. Tent is set up for two. Forest soaking tubs are self operated, open 24hrs, BYO charcoal, sign up for your time slot at the farmstand and enjoy! The space *To ensure your experience is beyond rad please read the entire descprition* THE TENT: simple car/wall tent with unenclosed corners, PNW rain + humidity proof PVC (not canvas) tarp walls and roof Vapor barrier swag for heat retention + air circulation, screen door entrance. SLEEPING: ~King size bed made with lofty linens and duvet ~Extra blankets ~Robes, towels + firestarters with written instructions for hot tubs ~Clothes rod + hangers ~Extra Sleeping Bag for chilly nights LIVING: ~Battery powered espresso machine ~Battery powered rechargeable lights ~Portable power bank for recharging devices ~First aid kit ~Propane Mr heater (camping style unit- you provide the fuel) **NO WIFI** OUTSIDE PRIVATE SPACE: ~Campfire ring (burn ban permitting, please check county regulations) ~Gravity fed sink (nonpotable water) + cooking station ~Camp Kitchen Box for rent ($15) in VW Farmstand: butane stove, cookware, plates, utensils, foil, dish soap, sponge, matches, French press + tea kettle, salt, pepper and oil, coffeee, tea, sugar, cream ~Pic Nic table + patio ~Refill drinking water bottles and nonpotable jugs from potable garden spigot by the chicken coop ~Hammock ~Fireside table and chairs CHARCOAL FIRED/COLD PLUNGE SOAKING TUBS: **Burn Ban Permitting, check regs!! (July and August are typically cold plunge months because of burn ban) Please read instructions thoroughly before starting, failure to do so may result in property damage and fees ~2 communal tubs located each in their own private forest setting ~Bring your own charcoal or purchase when available onsite ~Self serve, works just like a charcoal BBQ. ~With monitoring /stoking comes to temp in 2-3 hrs ~Sign up sheet in VW reserves your private time TOILET: ~Portable restroom unit (regularly serviced and shared with one other unit onsite) ~Hand sanitizer ~Handwashing sink/station with soap **No shower on premises (try Fort Flagger's coin ops or soak on the sound in P.T.)** THE FARMSTAND "front desk": Vintage VW Bus turned gift shop ~firewood bundles for sale ~Charcoal for purchase ~Camp Kitchen box for rent, with all the supplies you need to cook in camp ~`S'mores kits ~Butane + Propane ~Free book library ~Games for checkout ~9mile merch!! ~Drinking water station THE NEIGHBORHOOD: the camp sits peacefully at the end of an intentionally undeveloped short plat The 5 acre parcel is shared with other sites nicely spaced from one another Immerse yourself in the wildlife, deer, owls and quiet Landscape is Raw, ungroomed and natural Guest access PLEASE READ AS THE LISTING IS PRIVATE BUT THE PROPERTY IS SHARED WITH OTHER RENTALS Tent access is drive up & the road is well maintained until the last turn where it does narrow, follow signs marked “9 Mile Farm”. Expect some pot holes, rogue weeds and sticks, however you should not need 4 wheel drive to access. You can park right in front of the sleeping tent, walk a few feet to the patio & inside. Land is raw, ungroomed, wild and natural Try to arrive with some daylight as to familiarize yourself with the property layout. Flashlights or headlamps strongly encouraged. The entire 5 acre property, the soaking tubs trails, paths, road and portable toilet (serviced regularly by Goodman sanitation) is SHARED with other sites. Please clean up after yourself and leave the space as you found it. The entire property is use at you and any of your guests own risk, one of our only requests as landlord is we do ask that you sign a waiver/release acknowledging you have read and understand the ENTIRE description/listing, as well as the risks and agree to hold harmless Other things to note MANAGING EXPECTATIONS: Nine Mile Adventures glamping tent experience is not for everyone if you are uneasy without your wifi, lights, running water or really any modern-day conveniences (there is okay cell phone reception) or on the contrary if bugs make you fidget or the quiet makes you nervous & you can't roll with occasionally unforecast rain, wind, fog or even foghorns! then this may not be your cup of tea (and that's ok). Be honest with yourself, does this listing sound intriguing or terrifying? please rethink before booking. Please understand that the camp is a work in progress, undergoing constant improvements & various projects may be underway during your visit. We try to keep it tidy but realistically that just isn't always possible. What we truly hope, what our vision from the beginning has been is that all our guests enjoy a unique, peaceful, handcrafted experience that brings each individual that much closer to our planet, respecting her maybe just a little bit more.
