It is a modern cut house built at the end of 2020, where materials such as concrete, stone and wood have been mixed and where the indigo tones predominate. The space Located 900 meters high and 3 km from Monesterio (Badajoz), less than ten minutes by car and just forty-five minutes by highway from Seville or Mérida, right on the edge of the Aguafría forest. Perfect to disconnect and feel nature. You can enjoy the birdsong, spectacular views and magical sunsets in a wonderful setting. It is surrounded by chestnut, pine, olive, fig, cork oak and holm oak trees. The house is fully adapted for people with limited mobility, accesses, interior and exterior and has all the amenities for both winter and summer. In winter you can enjoy the fireplace with its wood-burning oven and the rooms will be heated by a large pellet stove placed in the hallway. We leave you enough firewood and the house has quilts and blankets in all rooms. In summer, enjoying the outdoors is a real pleasure. A swimming pool with sun loungers, two well-equipped porches, ceiling fans in bedrooms, living room and kitchen, and mosquito nets throughout the house. The kitchen is fully equipped with two combi refrigerators, a dishwasher, an oven, a microwave, a wine cooler, a washing machine, a dryer, an iron and all kinds of features such as a blender, juicer, traditional coffee maker and Nespresso, toaster, barbecue, paella pan, donut maker, kettle, etc. It has 4 bedrooms (2 double extra-large bed 1.80) and 2 triple (90 beds), 1 very comfortable sofa bed in the living room (double bed 1.40) and the possibility of 2 extra beds (90 bed). Outside, next to the house, there is a hen house with organic chickens that will allow you to enjoy the taste of farm eggs and an organic garden in summer. Sheets, shower towels, gel, shampoo, and basic kitchen products are provided. If you like walking, we have designed several hiking trails that start from the house, with different levels of difficulty and time. In the house you will find a book with all these routes, places to visit in the area, our favorite places to eat or have a drink in town, places to shop and some more interesting things like a complete first aid guide. Guest access Nothing is shared with anyone, except the eggs from the hens and the products of the garden in summer, which will be shared with the other rural house on our property that is on the same estate (Casa Rural Sierra de Aguafría). Other things to note In the surroundings of Casa Rural Madre del Agua, you can do different activities: • Hiking. There are many organized routes from the house, of varying difficulties. Some are very easy to do with children, with amazing views. • Picking mushrooms, asparagus, etc. There is a lot of enthusiasm and each season of the year brings us different charms to walk. • Ping-Pong: the house has a ping-pong table, rackets and balls. • Basketball: the house has a basketball court and balls. • Soccer: the house has a soccer field and balls. • Fishing: The Tentudía reservoir is 4 km from the house, and fishing is one of its great attractions. • Bicycle: There are many tracks and competitions are organized that cross our farm every year. You can rent them in town or bring your own. • Horseback riding: El Relincho riding school in Monesterio offers horseback riding excursions. You can arrange a ride if you feel like it. • Quad routes: The Yumping company organizes quad routes, with the possibility of picking you up at the house and taking you to see the area or its surroundings, such as Tentudía. • "Look at the stars": If you like, you can hire Victor M. Guareño for a stellar experience. He comes up to the house with a telescope and gives you a fascinating explanation that lasts about an hour and a half.
