Wifi has been turned on This house has a friendly side "Has been Hold or School" Comfort is real, cleanliness assured You will reside in the mountains, not in a city apartment, and therefore if it rains please do not dirty inside the house The space Chez Stan Villa, very well-located , near Albertville The house, built in the years 1975 is about 120 m² on 2 levels. I would like to point out that this family home is in their 50s. However, it is regularly renovated. Recently, it has just been equipped with a high-tech heat pump, and all windows and shutters are new. The shutters are driven by solar energy. The bay window in the dining room has also been replaced. New toilets have been installed, the floor tiles completely changed upstairs, a wifi connection has been activated. ) This house has a friendly side "Has been, or Hold School" with its kitchen composed of Formica furniture ( more strong than the IKEA modules...) and its carpets from the 2010s Comfort is real, cleanliness is not neglected, quite the contrary. You will reside in the mountains, not in an "ultra-modern city apartment", and therefore, if it rains, you will have to make sure to avoid dirt inside the premises It has a large terrace and a lawn garden. It has a capacity of 7 to 8 people (more room for umbrella beds), divided into 2 bedrooms with double beds and a large room on the ground floor with 3 beds (with possibility of an additional bed of 90). The living rooms are located upstairs, accessible by two means: an exterior staircase and an interior staircase. The main room of 35 m² is very bright and comfortable, with views of the mountains. The "living room" part has a sofa and 2 armchairs, and direct access to the large terrace (10 m²) by the bay window which overlooks the mountain called "the Belle Etoile" as well as the combe de Savoie. Non-functional fireplace. The dining area consists of a large closet, a buffet and a large table that can accommodate 6 people, or even 10 thanks to its extensions. It is lit by two windows with mountain views. The kitchen is 9 ². It is equipped with a glass-ceramic stove with an electric oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher and large cupboards for storing dishes. It has an access door to the terrace and a window overlooking the Belle Etoile. The kitchen and dining room are equipped with large tables where you can eat at 8 or even 10. Finally, there are two fridges in the house. The bathroom is equipped with a bath and a sink, toilet cabinet with mirrors and large closet. The toilets are separate. A room of about 15 m² has an electric bed for 2 people. A large closet and wardrobe will allow you to store your clothes and suitcases. A large window window opens to the mountain. A room of about 9 m² has a bed for 2 people, a large closet for clothes and suitcases. All these rooms are served by a large hall. As mentioned above, there is no problem to store as many belongings and personal items as possible. The ground floor has a lobby that serves: - a laundry room (washing machine, wires to spread the laundry, ironing board and iron) in which is also a very convenient shower. - toilets . - a large room equipped with a bed for 2 people ( box spring and new mattress) as well as two single beds to which is added a child's bed. This room provides direct access to the garden . Two central heating radiators help make it a pleasant accommodation, especially in winter. The house is comfortable, well heated, (included in the rental price), bed linen (sheets, blankets and pillows) and house linen (towels and hand towels) are provided at no extra charge. Large parking available in front of the house. Given the recent damage, I no longer accept large dogs The house is located in the center of the village of Mercury. A municipal library open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday ,Saturday morning is about twenty meters from the villa ( wifi available ). The village has a few small shops: a quality butcher shop, a grocery-bakery (renowned organic bread, cooked over a wood fire) as well as a second bakery pastry. ( meringues of all colors and flavors) less than 250 meters from the house. The village is located at 550 meters above sea level, and just above, is the pass of Tamiè at 7 kms ( altitude 900 meters) as well as the place called "Teppes " at 9 kms ( altitude 1100 meters) starting site to walk on the path of the mountain called "the beautiful star" The Col de Tamiè is a passage offering the quick possibility of reaching Haute Savoie ( walks in Seythenex, town of Annecy with its lake ) Mercury is close to Albertville: 7 kms ( 5 kms from Gilly sur Isère and its beautiful panoramic pool, 10 kms from the medieval city of Conflans ) The rental is located in a quiet dead end, with 3 other detached houses. From the terrace, you have a beautiful view of the mountain and the nearby meadows ( cows are frequently grazed in the parks, in front of the house). In the village, it is possible to practice Tennis ( two courts ) A body of water allows to take mini walks of relaxation. Located in the heart of the Bauges massif, in the immediate vicinity of the Mercury National Park is an authentic Savoyard village, composed of many hamlets. It is a viewpoint that overlooks the Isère valley and the combe de Savoie, with a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc. Many hikes are available to the informed or somewhat experienced (trails of the Belle Etoile, the Sambuy, the Arcalod, the Grand Roc, the dent de Cons… ) The proximity of Albertville, Lake Annecy, the Abbey of Tamié, the medieval city of Conflans, the villages of Beaufort, Hauteluce, and the large alpine dams ( Roselend, Giettaz , Saint Guérin ) as well as many ski resorts in a perimeter of about forty kilometers ( the Saisies, Arêches, Crest Voland, Hauteluce, Praz sur Arly, etc.) is a significant attraction for this dynamic village. Do not forget that Savoie offers a sought-after gastronomy ( fish from the lakes of Annecy, local recipes (stuffings, tarsiflettes, fondues, dried meats, diots, pormoniers, potato cakes, Savoy cakes, Saint Genix etc...) without forgetting particularly sought-after crusts: chignin wines, apremonts, roussettes, gamays, jaquères ... Guest access The house is made almost completely available, except for a storage room located on the ground floor. Coming by motorway A 430 , you must exit by ramp S 25 ( Sainte Hélène sur Isère – Frontenex ) As a result, it is relatively easy to find  You are less than 10 minutes from your destination. ( 6 kms ) Take the direction of Frontenex: ( you cross the river "Isère" ) and you continue straight ahead towards the road of Tamiè ( D 201 C ) and the village of Verrens. After crossing the small village of "Tournon" , you will arrive at the end of a kilometer at an intersection, at the level of a former small artisanal sawmill located on the stream of Verrens: you must then follow  the direction of Mercury  ( D 64 B ), on the right, (road called " de Verrens"  Once you arrive at the intersection of "Gemilly"   take  the D 64 A,  which takes you to the main town of Mercury. The house can be seen from a distance, take as a landmark the bell tower of the church of Mercury The villa is located about 200 meters before the church, at the corner of the Allée de la Garde ( in front of the agricultural equipment dealer " Vulliens et fils") Other things to note According to the ancients, Mercury takes its name from a temple erected and dedicated to MERCURY, God of commerce. Remains of Roman roads are still visible ( including the path of the "badly seated" to reach the tamiè pass ). The past has left many traces in the village(URL HIDDEN) The castle ( erected in 1345 ) the church ( 1633 ) and seven chapels are centuries-old witnesses. From the year 1000, Mercury appears as the stronghold of the family of lords of Chevron-Villette, for more than four centuries. The capital of Mercury has long been called “Chevron”. - The Church, placed under the patronage of St. Peter, was built in the fifth century AD on the ruins of the famous temple dedicated to Mercury. Enlarged in 1641 , it imposes by its dimensions ( 41 meters long, 17 wide, 11 high). In 1834 , the building, in neo-Roman style, was refined according to the plans of the architect Mélano. In 1857, Italian sculptors ( the Gilardi brothers) carved 54 statues in rot-proof wood. The smallest measures 60 cm. The largest 2 meters. These statues are gilded in fine gold, which is unique in France, for such a large number of statues. The frescoes were made by Casimir Vicario, a renowned artist in Italy. The bell tower rises to 41 meters. A monumental virgin; Our Lady of 7 pains ( 7 meters high) is surrounded by 4 personalities or saints ( Benedict Theophilus, Saint Joseph, Saint Francis de Salle, and Pope Nicholas II, born in Chevron Castle) - The castle, owned by the powerful Chevron Villette family, dates from the 14th century . It was remodeled and transformed in the 17th century. Since 1981, it has been registered in the collection of historical monuments. Owned by a private family, the Dunand family, it can be visited in small groups during the summer period. - The Fort of Tamié was the most important defensive structure protecting the Alpine valleys. Built on the order of the French army in 1876 on 16 hectares by 600 workers, all of Italian origin, it commanded the place d 'Albertville. Acquired by an inter-municipal union in 1967, the fort of Tamié is now open to the public. The quality of the architecture, the exceptional views of the Alps, the botanical trail, are some of the points of interest of the site. From the pass of tamié, on the right, taking the direction of the place called "la Ramaz" it is possible to reach "the Teppes ". starting point of the trail to climb to the Belle Etoile. This walk ( about 2.5 hours to reach the ridge ) offers a striking view of the valley and the surrounding mountains.
