Built in 1928, Franklin Edge is located in the edge of Franklin, TN, just a few feet away from Arrington, TN. Enjoy the charm and solitude of the country with all the amenities of the city 15 min away in Franklin. Nashville 19 miles, Brentwood 10 miles, Murfreesboro 20 miles, Nolensville 8 miles. Full kitchen, King and Bunk beds, Double sofa bed. Game room. Basketball, Soccer, Acres to roam. Creek. The original outhouse and smokehouse are on the property. Totally private apartment with its own entry/exit. Cozy. Kid friendly. Great for couples, solo travelers, families and business travelers. The bedroom has a king bed and features a walk-in closet, TV, ceiling fan, iron and ironing board. The bathroom is well stocked- body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, lotion, towels, wash clothes, and a hair dryer. Shower/tub combo. The living area includes bunk beds (2 twin beds), double pull out sofa, TV, DVD player, pub table with seating for 4 and a ceiling fan. High speed internet is provided, as well as 30 local TV channels, Netflix, YouTube TV, Amazon Prime, and a selection of movies. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, utensils, and cookware, as well as dish detergent and dishwasher detergent. The kitchen features full size appliances (Refrigerator, Range, Dishwasher, Microwave, Toaster, Blender). A Keurig coffee maker is also provided with a variety of coffees and teas. Complementary Laundry facility- including detergent/shout/fabric softener. THERE ARE NO COMMON OR SHARED AREAS INSIDE THE HOUSE. Guests are welcome to explore outside and enjoy the front porch, back deck, front yard swing, walking trails, 2 playsets, soccer, and basketball. Guest are also invited to lounge in the game room in the barn loft (Foosball, checkers, ping pong, air hockey/basketball and pool). There are lots of spots for relaxing. Come unwind. Enjoy the sunsets, the brightness of the moon and stars without the street lights, the sound of the frogs in the creek at night, the sound of the crickets and birds, and the sound of the passing freight train in the distance. The beautiful country views and surroundings won’t disappoint. It is very likely you will see a critter or two. Our biggest surprise so far has been a peacock. Take a step back in time. The original outhouse used prior to the addition of in-door plumbing in the 1930s, still stands on the property today. The original smokehouse that was used for the preservation of meat still stands as well, as does the original barn. When you arrive you will be greeted by 2 very friendly dogs. (Brownie, and Jack) They are harmless. -The apartment is located on the second floor. Must climb stairs. - No open fires (fire pits, etc.) - No smoking indoors. - No unapproved guests. - In accordance with Airbnb policy, No parties of any kind. -CANCELLATION POLICY IS MODERATE. Travel insurance is recommended. Our sons, the Mater Boys, run a produce stand at the end of the driveway from July until early fall. They took first place in the tomato competition at the county fair in 2016-2023. Their sister took over the business in 2023 when they headed to college. You will want to stock up on your way out!
