This room has 1 King Bed and is located upstairs in our main lodge. It has its own bathroom and easy access to the hot tub! This room is not pet friendly however our cabins are. The living shown is the shared large great room in the lodge. From June 1 - October 31 we will be moving to a required meal program including organic, farm to table dining for $60/person/night ($30/kid 9 and under). The King Suite at the Beyul Retreat is located on the second floor of the main lodge, with beautiful views of the property. Guests also have access to the main lodge fireplace area, and private hiking trails. The guests have their own private room. A host is available on site for adventure suggestions. Set on 32 acres along the Frying Pan river, the Diamond J guest lodge is a forested haven in a wild Colorado mountain valley. We share this place with foxes, elk, black bears, hawks, eagles, and trout. Surrounded by the red rock of the river valley, the retreat is nestled in groves of Colorado blue spruce, Aspen and, Douglas fir trees. The extensive property has both welcoming gathering spaces and private corners for solitude. At 8200’, our mountain ecology means changing magic throughout the seasons: a blanket of pristine deep Rocky Mountain powder in the winter, the sweet green emergence of spring, the glory of summer among the peaks, and a fireworks show of glowing hues in the fall. The retreat is surrounded by the White River National Forest, which creates privacy and access for backcountry skiing, hiking, backpacking, and hunting. It’s 26 miles up from the confluence with the Roaring Fork, just five minutes beyond Ruedi Reservoir, a beautiful 1,100 acre lake where you can enjoy sailing, water skiing, windsurfing, kayaking, and fishing. World-class mountain-biking, climbing, paragliding and skiing are within a short drive. Free Parking available onsite. The Frying Pan Road is plowed year round and four wheel drive vehicles are strongly encouraged in the winter. This will include brunch and dinner, be sure to bring your own lunch items and snacks. Buy your groceries in Basalt before driving up the Frying Pan River Road! We have no restaurant onsite until June 1 and the closest full grocery is 40 minutes away. We have a small bodega serving gourmet snacks and last-minute ingredients. Nearest Grocery: Skips Market located in Basalt is a small local market located 40 minutes away, and Whole Foods and City Market in Willits are 50 minutes away. Wifi: Satellite internet is offered in the main lodge. Please note your cell phone will not work on the drive, or in the cabins. Recommendations: Please drive slowly on your way, especially through the towns of Meredith and Thomasville. Bring extra layers of clothing and outerwear for rapid weather changes, including rain gear. Wool base layers are a good idea, even in summer. We do drain and clean the hot tub every Monday and it will be hot again Tuesday morning.
