Panoramic Views- Lovely Close but Secluded Estate

New Sole E35 elliptical. 2 Dyson air purifiers. The space This property is a magical place convenient to the whole Bay area and near charming downtown Los Gatos restaurants and shops. (About a 5 minute drive or 30 minute hilly walk.) Whether you are here to relax, attend a wedding, or work on a project, you have plenty of space, quiet, and privacy surrounded by nature. The glass walls allow the inside and outside to flow together. There are 4 outdoor patios with nice furniture, and the excellent Xfinity with Nest Wifi works well even there. Pick the sun/shade/breeze/views combination you want for that moment. Privacy and seclusion in Silicon Valley. There are 240 degree spectacular views framed by huge oak trees. You can see Mt Tam in Marin County, Mt Diablo, Mt Hamilton, and the entire South Bay. Hiking & biking trails are nearby as well as Vasona Lake and Lexington Reservoir. San Francisco is often clearly visible 50 miles away, and on occasional exceptionally clear days, with our telescope, you can faintly see 1 & 1/2 towers of the Golden Gate Bridge. It is great for working/studying at home, a couple, a family, a group of friends, a small corporate retreat, or a team needing a tranquil spot to work on a project. Parties and events are NOT allowed. We have a large lemon tree which gives us all the lemons we need year round, and many different herbs. There are other citrus and fruit trees, lettuce, strawberries, tomatoes, etc. you can enjoy in season. There is an indoor garden, pond and waterfall, with automatic "rain forest" watering; an outdoor dry streambed you cross on the way to the front door; a petanque court down stone steps; and lots of flowers and plants. The hot tub/spa is lovely, with a 240 degree view including San Francisco (tiny 50 miles away) and Mt. Tamalpais in Marin, and complete privacy. Just outside the living room and family room is a patio with a beautiful copper fire pit and furniture. There is also a propane heater on one of the other patios. Guest access We are fairly good but not great for people with mobility issues. There are only 2 steps from the garage to the lower end bedroom and 2 more to the main level. Or 3 separate ones up the front walk. No specific accessibility features however. We are midway between San Francisco and Monterey/Carmel (about an hour 15 minutes to either) about 1/2 hour to Santa Cruz, Capitola, and Silicon Valley. Downtown Los Gatos is about 5 minutes away by car, or a hilly 20-30 minute walk. Uber and Lyft are available as well as Doordash for lazy evenings in gorgeous surroundings. Great for couples, families and work groups. "The master bedroom is huge with views of (and beyond) San Francisco, a comfortable king-sized bed, a fireplace and seating area. there is a luxurious marble master bath with jacuzzi tub and separate walk-in 2 shower with 2 shower heads. There is a good sized bedroom with comfortable queen sized mattress and a new Sole E35 Elliptical machine. Across the hall from that bedroom, there is another good sized bedroom with a trundle beds which can be either 2 twin beds or one king. Near them, off the main hallway, is a full tub and shower bathroom with separate doored toilet and 2 sinks as well as an additional powder room toilet and sink half bathroom off the same hallway. At the lower end of the house (down 2 steps) there is a good sized bedroom with a comfortable queen sized mattress and a French door to a little patio. There is also a fifth bedroom which is less useable because you go through it to get to the French door queen-bed room. It has bunk beds with super-hero bedding, and there is a full bathroom with shower but no tub between those 2 bedrooms. It makes a great separate suite for parents and kids, less functional for coworkers. That is why we generally suggest no more than 8 guests when we have beds for 10 people. There are several locked closetsand cabinets. There is a Nest camera at the inner gate looking up the driveway. No other cameras. Other things to note At times we have allowed small, very well behaved and housebroken, non-shedding dogs. We do not allow cats or other pets due to allergies . Please ask if you can bring your pet. Los Gatos requires people offering short term rentals to have a business license, and pay 12% transient occupancy taxes. Airbnb automatically collects that tax and pays it to Los Gatos. Those taxes do not apply for stays more than 30 days. Our LG business license number is 41415.
