The perfect family & friends getaway, Nkala can accommodate 12 guests (+4 chn under 10yo) *SELF CATERING *The rate is per night for exclusive use of the entire lodge -4 luxury en-suite freestanding suites + 1 family suite with 2 rooms -Kitchen, lounge, dining room, bbq, boma & splash pool. -Viewing deck -Small shady play area for children -Two private game drives per day -Black Rhino Game Reserve + access to Pilanesberg National park incl. -MALARIA FREE; BIG 5 - 2hrs from Lanseria Airport The space Essentially this is like renting a luxury holiday villa in a private game reserve, with daily housekeeping and game drives included. The layout is also unique as it encompasses freestanding suites as well as a central main living space with kitchen, bar, tv lounge, outdoor dining space, boma and small swimming pool. Each suite is exquisitely decorated with sitting area, coffee station and en-suite bathroom, with bath tub and shower as well as enclosed outdoor shower. GAME DRIVES: 2 x Big 5 game drives per day are INCLUDED in your own game drive vehicle Park fees are included Drives are +/-2.5hrs each and leave early morning and depart again late afternoon- but the schedule is flexible as you have your own exclusive use game viewer. A qualified game ranger who lives at the lodge conducts game drives. - The lodge is serviced daily. - An electrified game fence for guest safety surrounds a 'node' of five lodges. - There is a small (shared) business centre and WiFi throughout, but please note that cellphone coverage and WiFi signal cannot be guaranteed due to the location of the lodge. The villa is self-catering, so please ensure that you purchase all your groceries en route. The nearest small supermarket is approximately 35 minutes' drive away. Further details about shops and travelling directions will be sent to you. The villa is self-catering, but we do have a chef available to prepare your meals at an additional cost, subject to availability. You do however still have to provide her with the groceries and a menu/recipes of what you would like. Please send us a message to book the chef's services. This self-catering exclusive-use lodge is ideal for families and groups looking to experience the Big 5 in a private and exclusive setting. The entire self catering lodge is booked as an exclusive-use villa. We do not offer hotel-style accommodation or dining. Rate includes: - Two game drives per day with qualified field guide in private game viewing vehicle - All conservation fees/levies for entry into the reserve - Daily housekeeping - Firewood and ice Excludes: - All food & drink - Staff gratuities - Transport to and from the lodge *Important: Maximum of 10 passengers (of any age) allowed on the game viewing vehicle. Nkala accommodates up to 12 adults in 6 rooms. 4 small children (under the age of 10 years) can also be accommodated (cot / single sleeper couch). Two of the rooms have the option of an interleading foyer space, so they can be used as two separate bedrooms or can be opened up to form a family suite. Children 10 years of age and older count towards the number of adult guests. The maximum occupancy including small children and babies is 16. Most of the rooms can be made up as king beds or two single beds We have a cot and feeding/high chair for babies available on request, as well as a few toys and books for children and families. Self-catering: We have a local prep chef on staff who can make your meals based on your menu and grocery shopping. Please contact us as soon as possible with your request to check availability. The chef's services are paid for separately upon check-out (via credit card or SnapScan). If you would like to arrange your own private chef, they would count towards the total number of guests and will need to be accommodated in the suites. Game drives are limited to 10 people maximum on the vehicle including children as per the Reserves rules. - Each person needs to be in their own seat. - Children are allowed on game drives but will be at the ranger's discretion. - No game drives with private vehicles are allowed on Black Rhino Game reserve. There is only one shared space in our offering: The full gym & small business centre are located on the border between our three neighbouring lodges. This space is shared with our two sister lodges (Nkala and Kubu Metsi).
