A shorefront cabin for two on Midcoast Maine island oyster farm; boat ride to and from Friendship Town Wharf provided. Bring your taste for off-grid glamping adventure. No plumbing (outhouse, rain-barrel showers). No electricity (candles and headlamps; solar phone-charging nearby). Otherwise comfortable and romantic, with excellent bed and linens. The space A simple, classic one-room cabin, built in 2018 with locally sourced rough-cut hemlock. Metal roof. Vintage divided-light window sashes salvaged in Vermont. Small, functional kitchen (propane fridge and stove). Outdoor grill and campfire pit. New, comfortable queen-size bed with high-luxe sheets and pillows. Lots of candles provided. Inaccessible by car, so plan on a .75-mile kayak/boat commute on protected water. (Rental kayaks available locally. For off-island trips we provide on-demand daytime boat-ride service to/from your car for $40 round trip.) Associated with Morse Cover Oyster, @morsecoveoysters. Buy as many oysters as you'd like to enjoy during stay. Guest access Entire house, pebble beach, boathouse, forest paths, 1300 feet of private shoreline on our 70-acre property.
