After your great nights sleep, enjoy a hot coffee on the screened porch before you start your day of adventures at Silver Springs State Park just a quarter of a mile away. $2 per person entry and a small fee for glass bottom boat ride per person. The real fun is in taking your time Kayaking or canoeing the Silver River and seeing all the wildlife! Bring your Polarized sunglasses to experience the beauty of crystal clear water beneath you filled with fish and Manatees, while lush vegetation on the banks showcase the Gators, turtles, and birds! Go to the kayaking/canoeing entrance for a day on the water in the most serene setting that takes you back in time. Spend your next day walking or biking the trails of Mashall Swamp Trailhead (6 minute drive) or Silver Springs Connector (5 minute drive). Santos Trail is 16 minutes from us. Washer and dryer in unit to keep your gear fresh and clean for multiple days of adventures! We do not have cable but we do have a smart tv with Netflix. Marion County Florida has a mandatory tourist tax of 4% for your stay that is separate from the Occupancy taxes Airbnb has collected. Other things to note Keyless entry This is a Duplex home with attached neighbors. Please be quiet and courteous. This home is on a shortcut road on an up and coming street (I won't say neighborhood because its one street with very few homes) in an Old Florida location that mixes commercial properties with homes, set between 2 main streets (yes, the cars make noise as they drive by the shortcut, but it's not that bad and reduced in evening hours so you can enjoy the porch). We have been completely renovated along with several of the 7 small homes/duplexes on the street. Its a work in progress for some tho. The location to Silver Springs is the closest you can get and we love our home, location and sweet neighbors.
