Description

My cabin is on Crescent Creek, and very secluded and great to just stay and relax. I like to relax on the deck, on the dock and the creek, and in the creek, and hike or ski in the area. Some people like to go to Simax Beach at Crescent lake, about 10 minutes away. There is also hiking and mountain biking in the summer, and skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). The space Crescent Lake Cabin is a secluded, private cabin on Crescent Creek near the town of Crescent Lake Junction in Oregon. It is the ideal location for a secluded, relaxing, natural getaway, with activities the whole year round. A recent entry in the cabin guest book says, 'What a wonderful spot by the creek! We started the weekend with ambitions of hikes and canoeing on lakes and then soon realized that the best thing was staying by the cabin, walking through the woods, splashing in the creek, playing with inner tubes, playing fetch with our dog, enjoying the wood stove and treasuring each other's company.' Also, people often ask if there will be snow, and my best response is that I can't predict the weather! The trend is that from November through March, there is a good chance of snow, but it is not guaranteed. In 2014-2015, there was little snow. The winter of 2016 to 2017 had record snow. Also, when there is snow, travel is more difficult, and it is necessary to use the wood stove to keep warm; there is no central heat. If this sounds like a fun adventure to you, I encourage you to stay in the winter! Note that there is no wifi, which is intentional, so that my guests and I can unplug. Cell service in the area is spotty, but it is there. Texting works fairly well. Guest access You can access the whole cabin, and all 3.5 acres of the property, including 2 swimming holes and the dock. Note that in the summer there may be more than a 2-night minimum. Other things to note The stairs to the loft (with the king bed) are very steep. Guests with small children may want to bring a gate to block access, and some guests may prefer to stay in the downstairs bedroom to avoid the stairs. During the summer, I aim for 100% occupancy, so I may ask you to adjust your stay so that it is adjacent the previous or next guest.
